I just received my order of 3,5mm wick from COV and rebuilt one of my Penelopes with it last night. So far, it seems to be performing very well, and the wicking action is, if anything, a bit better than the 3,0mm wick ... the taste is the same (which is to say, great!). I like that the 3,5mm wick seems to fit the channels of the Penelope more fully ... I did notice that when I tightened the ceramic ring down, it "shaved" some silica fuzz off the wick. I think maybe I should pack the wick more firmly into the channels next time?![]()
And twist them in the direction they are wound while pushing them inside the channels. They become hard and thinner.
