After lurking around just about every tank mod thread on ecf, I figure it's time for me to give back to you fine folks who helped me get from two grommets and a cut up 20ml syringe to ce2 based tanks like my V2 and V1....
...to my best performing (and looking!) tank yet; the HB tank:
I kept having wicking issues with the top-atomizer design of the CE2s mods, always having to flip the tank to avoid dry hits, so for my next tank I wanted to try using the CE3xl clearos. Unfortunately, in a tank setup, the air tube doesn't hold tight enough against the atty assembly to protect from flooding; even the lightest jostle could dump the entire tank contents into your lap. I ended up using the spring from a retractable pen to keep the center tube pressed to the atty assembly which worked MUCH better than I expected! I went with vinyl tubing because it's cheap, wont crack, and can take any juice you can throw at it while. The atomizer can be swapped in less than 20 seconds and the entire assembly breaks down in less than a minute for a complete cleaning. The outer o-rings aren't necessary, but they do give the tank much better stability; my ecig equipment tends to drop, roll, and slide around a lot.
It holds roughly 5mL of juice and when built correctly this tank DOES NOT leak and vapes like a dream with no wicking problems whatsoever
The best part? Just about everything you need for this can either be found at Lowes or laying around with the rest of your standard ecig bits and parts
