I'm sitting here looking at my Lavatube (got my 510 atty on it with a staineless steel drip tip) and the thing is totally crooked! It's ridiculous! Atty/tip is like leaning to the left of due north...I pray to God my ProVari is not going to have this problem. I know you guys have commented on this before promising me that it would not but I just need some reassurance again. Oh and my order is still "processing", I guess east coast people suck.

You will never touch your lavatube again when you get your vari . There is a HUGE HUGE HUGE quality difference . Its a whole different ball game. Its like comparing a 1.00 thermos from the discount store to a 2000 dollar custom heavy steel flask.

The Provari is not able to have a crooked connector . The top cap is one solid piece . By solid i dont mean just strong ,Its machined out of a large chunk of steel. The lavatube also has a soft brass connector which is notorious for stripping while the Provari is unstripple Stainless steel

Lets put it this way . Beating a Provari with a hammer like a madman most likely wouldnt dent it at all.

Don't be nervous! I just received my *first* ProVari today, a birthday gift from me to me. I ordered it last week after tiring of the glitch in my now-recalled LT. I ordered it in Silver Satin, which after some reading around here, is the reason why it took the full 7 days of processing before it finally shipped, after that it was here in 2 days, priority shipping.

It is lovely, solid as all get out, and simple to use right out of the box. I was wondering if it would be hard for me to get the hang of all the button presses to get to this menu or that--reading the online instruction manual, I was a little confused, so I just fired it up and went through it a couple of times and it's self-explanatory.

Everything on it is straight and perfect, and in fact it looks 500% more awesome here in my hand, than it did in the pics on the Provape website.

Even though I already knew the measurements of it-- when I pulled it out of the box, I first thought they'd sent me the mini by mistake, lol---it's not huge like I thought it was going to be. Very sleek and classy looking. She's the Miss FancyPants of all my mods. LOVE THIS THING! Can't wait til you get yours, make sure and post when it arrives and tell me what you think of it!

You get what you pay for. My Lavatube sits gathering dust. If you measure the voltage under load and not it is usually either lower or higher than marked and it gets more pronounced the higher you go up the range. East Coast people don't suck, in general. And Provaris certainly don't suck. My favorite APV, but I'm partial to tube mods.

Thats another thing you will be happy with . With the lavatube you set the thing to 6v and you only actually get 4.5v to the carto for example . With the provari when you set it to 6v your carto sees 6v. Now you will actually know what your vaping at. I think the Provari is the only store bought mod that doesnt drop voltage under load.

Actually, my Lavatube holds it's voltage under load, it just isn't what is marked. ex... 6 volts is 6.2measured and so on. Provari gives you what is marked, almost to the hundredth of a volt.

EDIT: Well now, I was curious, so I put a 2.5 dual coil on there and it did drop from 6.2 to 5.4, so you're technically right, str8.

I have a couple LTs and agree they have their place:

1. Tiding me over while I had to wait for blue LEDs

2. To take places I'd be afraid of environmental hazards or loss/theft

3. To loan to friends who are curious about ecigs themselves or mods in particular.

I'm sure they won't get used much when my vari makes it here, but 2 and 3 will still hold true...

I agree, the Lavatube has its place... and that place is at the very back end of a drawer of backup devices.

While I do own one, it got about 1 hours use before being put at the back end of said drawer, whereas my first Provari has been my mainstay day in and day out for well over a year (And while I'm a software engineer, I work in the heavy industrial sector and have had my provari drop from the cab of a wheel-loader/excavator on multiple occasions... Although I've never tried actually driving one over it but have considered it on occasion)

Be sure to let us all know how far back in the Drawer that LT goes after you experience the quality of the Provari :)

Oh I will, I'm interested to see also. If anything, it may stay out simply due to the fact that I chain vape so much the carto, tank end caps and ultimately drip tip get too hot, so I have to have two devices in rotation (and it will be awhile before I can afford a second vari lol)
