i bought my buddy the same set up to start with, use the wattage setting because it takes all the math out of it for you (think of wattage like a volume knob on a radio) alot of people find 8.5 watts a good starting point, just adjust up or down from there until it tastes the best to you. if it tastes dry or burnt turn it back down a bit. have several extra atomizers stocked up, and try lots of liquids. i was shocked to find out how much i liked a blueberry lemonade from the standard. also the new mini aero protank looks great on the v3 and gives you even more control over your vape.

Oh? I was at 9 watts for a while and it seemed to be pretty alright! And I've heard some pretty good things about the mini aero from some friends, so I'll probably look into that

Also, is there any specific way to store my vape? Like, disassemble it and stash it a certain way? I'm paranoid about sorta just leaving it around, unless its ok to do that :p

Welcome to ECF, DGM! It's OK to just leave your vape around. Some tanks leak when set down on their sides for a long time (like overnight), but I don't think any of the Protanks do. So yes, you can feel comfortable just leaving it around, ideally somewhere that it won't roll or get knocked onto the floor!

As far as other question about advice, you seem to have great set up to start out, so just come back and ask any specific questions you end up having, and you will have all the advice you could ever hope for!

Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Oh yeah, at the moment, I'm just stashing everything in my desk drawer. I'm not stacking anything or throwing things, I got a nice little organized corner for my stuff. I only have my vape and two flavors anyway, so I got a lot of space to make sure nothing is cluttered!

Oh, THAT won't last long! (bwah hahahahahaha!)

You will be shocked by how much stuff you acquire, and how quickly!

Stacking batteries means like putting 2 batteries one on top the other, as is often done in flashlights.

Lithium batteries pack a lot of energy; care should be taken to avoid having them jumbled around in a clutter with metal objects that might cause an accidental short.

My set up doesn't use batteries like that yet, but I'm thinking of getting a mechanical mod in the future. If I do end up getting one, should I always take the batteries out and store them in a case?
I do personally just for piece of mind in the safety department no accidental firing.
Yes I had a mech fire on me when I know I used locking ring no longer trust locking rings.
I just remove batteries every time I am done dripping.

If your looking into a mechanical mod for the future, you have the whole world ahead of you. That said, for the love of all things sacred with our vaping community, do your research, and do it thoroughly. Once you do that, definitely give some thought to a Reo if you can handle the box format. I run mine with a modified Trident V2, and its like dripping without dripping.

That said, I very much enjoy the new Kanger Aerotank mini, and Aerotank Mega. I have both, and they're a super good vape. The Aerotank Mini would be a fantastic upgrade for your VV3. My wife uses one occasionally on her Vision Spinner. The new dual coils really let the juice flow and they do fantastic with 100% VG mount baker juices. Superb flavor and the airflow control is really cool too, even though I leave it wide open. With a 2.0 ohm coil, I run it between 4.8-5.5 volts on my E-LVT, and with the 1.5 ohm coil, 4.2 volts does nicely. Somewhere in the range of 10-14 watts or so, I don't bother with the math.
