I don't know, if I were you, I'd definitely be buying up 0mg nic or maybe not vaping at all, except in those times of craving...even then, maybe just fight through the urge. Smoking is a hard thing to shake for some reason, I'd just hate to see you have to go through the nicotine withdrawl again...it's no fun at all. Anyway, that's just my opinion...not gonna get all judgmental on you, you're an adult just like me.

Welcome to ECF! And congrats on at least going to e-cigs rather than the real thing! Woot!

Hi, everyone,
I'm a newbie here. I quit smoking 6 years ago after almost 40 years of smoking. About 3-4 times a year I would get an intense urge to smoke, and fight it. I loved to walk by smokers just get that wonderful smell. About 2 months ago my neighbor came over with an e-cig. I was just having one of those urges. Within an hour I was in the store buying the whole set up. I wish I had known the juice could come without nicotine, but ah well. I've been vaping ever since and really enjoying it. I figure at least I won't go back to smoking. I want to thank you all for such an education. I really like reading these posts. Again thank you for all this wonderful information.

Im with you Robdob, I could not have quit smoking without this site and the people who came before me to share their experiences.

I don't get that. The smell of second hand smoke to me, is like incense.... a sweet, spicey incense. I love the smell.

BCRich, I'm the same way. I love the smell of cigarettes, a good cigar, or even a nice pipe tobacco. But in no way do I ever want to smoke a cigarette again. I love the flavor I get with vaping. Much more intense and satisfying than tobacco ever was.

Me too. Still like the smell of tobacco. Just don't want a cig. Funny thing, for me, it became "smells better than it tastes". Like some people are with coffee. Go figure?

I kinda like where I ended up. Now and then, walk through a cloud of somebody's smoke (like, oh, going to a store and a smoker is outside like you do) and it's maybe a pleasant nostalgia but I don't get any "urge" for one anymore. Didn't get to that point overnight but did get there.
