No, the point is those vape shops that are mixing their own ejuice won't be able to mix their own stuff at all after these regulations fall. They will have to buy approved eliquids from distributors. That's how Uncle Sam will ensure they get their cut. Nobody will be able to just make their own mixes freely. Each liquid will need to be approved for sale and it may cost millions to do that. These vape shops will be scrambling to find legal eliquids to stock their shelves. That's the plan that Clark seems to be working towards. He wants to be one of the few companies who will be able to legally distribute his products right out of the gate. At least, that's my understanding so far.

Exactly - imagine the vaccum.

Ummm.....this would make sense to me if I actually bought my juices out of a vape shop. Clark said~

I'm am preparing for absolutely zero shipping, anywhere.

Which is the point of my reply.

He's preparing because under proposed law, individual consumers will not be able to buy juices online, all sales to consumers will be out of brick and mortar stores. So it's a matter of what juice makers will be able to make the transition and leap through the hoops to get their juices approved. The current model is going away.

Lex I think you may have missed a few posts on this topic. Clark said that he will continue to sell online as long as it is legal to do so, but the consensus is that in time online selling will stop for everyone and only a few who are making plans and working toward that eventuality will be allowed to make e liquid and it will have to go to a distributor where it will be inspected, duly taxed and then sent on to B&M retailers. This will be the only way to get e liquid legally in the US at that time, no one will be mixing juice in the back of a shop at all.

I have heard hints of this from several other vendors as well and they are also working toward this. As awful as this is it still sounds better than having nothing to choose from except cig a likes made and sold by big tobacco.

I will have to figure something out though because I don't expect to be driving at all for many more years, old age is not fun.

I guess since everyone's circumstances are different this is not a win/win for all.

No it isn't, but even this isn't a sure thing yet, but those vendors who wait to find out exactly what is going to happen will be left out in all likelihood so to survive they have to be proactive now. We do have a smoke shop in town who carries some vape gear so maybe they will be open to adding some high end juice if this comes to pass.

The vape shops here I wouldn't suggest for anyone to go to. The markup is = to a car payment.

Call me crazy, I haven't read alot about the proposed regulations but isn't the proposal here you can't purchase e-liquid containing nicotine online? Couldn't we purchase say your CLS "flavoring" and buy a bottle of nicotine from the b&m. Everyone can learn to mix their appropriate levels of nicotine themselves. Please tell me if I'm wrong just trying to think outside the box here.

ur probably right.. was thinking about that too for the EU regs .. a ban on anything over 10 ml with nic here soon. (some shops here are already ditching 10+ ml bottles..). Means one has to mix no nic large volume with large amount of nic low volume. if they enforce this on orders online from outside the EU im royally screwed (well price wise ;) ). They are still trying to fight it but we are a bit outnumbered and disorganised here.

But i still dont have a workaround for the proposed EU ban on tanks larger then 2 - 2.5 ml. Other then vapolyptic hoarding.

But hey i can still walk outside throw a rock and hit a shop that sells cigarettes and (a certain green substance wich is not allowed to be discussed here) but can be legally obtained 0_0.

This will probably happen to some extent, especially if it doesn't have pg/vg, it's just the flavoring. They are classifying zero nicotine blends the same as regular blends the same as tobacco. The FDA will still want it approved for consumption. I'm sure that some businesses will do this, but for a big business known for selling e juice to do this and mark it as not labeled for consumption will probably raise some red flags.

But yes, they are categorizing zero nicotine blends the same as regular e juice.

So Kevin, if the liquid had no pg/vg and no nic it would be just flavoring for us to mix and would be able to be shipped?

It's my understanding that it still has to be approved by the FDA, unless it's labeled not for consumption, just like food flavorings that you would buy at the grocery store. But if it's labeled not for consumption and it obviously is for consumption, then I think that will probably be investigated.

I imagine there will probably be a bunch of foreign companies selling flavoring over the internet that people will buy. Not wise to run a U.S. based business like that though.

*the above is my understanding of it, someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I cannot stress enough how this entire conversation related to transitioning to B&M is depressing the hell out of me. Hearing this may not happen for another 2 years does not provide me an ounce of comfort.

I cannot speak for others but I don't have the luxury of promoting any vendors juice outside my own home & the few B&M's I've been to are not going to carry Nicoticket. They're quite happy to have an employee mixing up juices in the back room.

It's different when you have exclusive vape shops vs stores that just so happen to sell vape related items.

It took me months & a LOT of money to find my way to Nicoticket & I have this sinking feeling I'll have to start my search for good tasty quality juices all over again.

Many of you may see this as not being loyal--I really don't care. Spending my money on what works for me has nothing to do with loyalty to one particular vendor; a word btw I feel gets thrown around quite loosely anyway.
I have to look out for me & the last thing I want to do is go back to smoking cigarettes. So yeah....my shopping will continue online.

Nope, that is my understanding as well, which is why I am very reluctant to post strategies about how we can avoid this by sneaking around the rules...I know it sounds paranoid but I imagine we are all being watched closer than we'd expect. Especially as I remember posting the no nic, no pg/vg flavoring idea a few months back and there they are specifically considering no nic juice as a "tobacco" product...however, that one point I can see argued in court very effectively to our benefit. The law ONLY allows their control of "Tobacco products" in that deeming and if it has no connection to any tobacco how is this different than incense or air or perfume or...you get the idea. ;)

Oh, I totally get your point. To be honest, I've never even seen a vape shop. If there is one in the nearest city the closest one is at best an hour drive away and I can't drive. Believe me, I understand how hard this sucks. Given that, I'm still trying to remain hopeful that the government won't force every small mom and pop eliquid company into the ground. If the best I will be able to do is bribe a friend with beer and gas money into hauling me to the nearest vape shop three times a year... I'd be ...... off but hopefully still vaping and not smoking. The only point I was trying to make is that all ejuice companies, and (we) their customers, will soon be at the mercy of very hostile FDA regulations. It sucks but I'm hopeful that we will still have some access to bNicoticket.

The well groomed gentleman wearing a long dark trench coat and a perfectly shaped fedora casually strolling along any street USA observes a fellow vaper approaching from the other direction. The man carefully scans the surrounding area for possible threats and at the appropriate moment, steps to the approaching vaper, opens up his coat and in a soft yet commanding tone out come the word's, " Say Buddy, You want to cop some Nicoticket".:2cool:

I would like to say the great things about the SR are, if it doesn't interest you, there is no obligation to buy. Heck there is never an obligation to buy. I myself have skipped some short runs and that's because they either didn't interest me, or they were not in my budget.

The main thing is the staple items aren't going anywhere and that's what's important to me, as those are the ones keeping me from going back to smoking and what brings us all to Nicoticket, not the short runs... the short runs are fun and allow for a change of pace and that's a good thing, so that you don't get burned out on your staple juices.

Clarks doing everything he can to be ready to continue serving us when the govment does its crack down. I have faith that he is captaining the ship in the right direction toward that future that is not so far away.

Just remember short runs are fun runs, and we are not obligated to buy....if you have 2 staple items, like I pretty much do..ie CLS/CB (50ml Bottles) then if I had a 15ml short run item, that will put me over the $50 and I get free shipping. So in that regard, your bottle didn't really cost that much extra as it covers the shipping that you would have to pay if you only ordered the 2 bottles.

Example: 1x50ml CLS + 1x50ml CB with shipping is $47.02 (previous order)...now that same order but including a SR(BP) 15ml = $55.97. That's $8.95 more...so that 15ml SR bottle cost .96 more than if you ordered a regular 15ml bottle..

You might say but wait...staple items in that same quantity comes out to $51.97 and gets free shipping...that's $4 less than your example, and you would be right on that.
I respond that if you have ordered before and are getting staple items on reorder, are you really only going to get that same great tasting bottle in a 15 again? Maybe, as I cant answer that for everyone (budget constraints), but if that staple items is a fav, your gonna find a way to get a bigger bottle.

But really at the end of the day, Clark is throwing out short runs of flavors for us to have the opportunity to try his mastery of mixing and heck if its a success, gives it a chance at making the permanent lineup.

Just remember that there is nobody saying that a SR item should be bought :)

I should add that I have felt like I should buy all the SR's and have come close to buying some, but at the end of the day I decided I could do without and happily continued to vape my staple flavs....and Clark is just as happy with that...well he hasn't sent me any snots instead of zotz lol

Be happy, be at peace, be free and chose to play the SR train or like me just take a short ride here an there, where it fits right and would be something that interesting to you.

I am at the beginning of this read but I have to comment. I really like what I am reading. I hate the price of the SRs but I understand. Clark explained it awhile ago and I have just let go of any concerns. It is what it is. Clark is a vendor. He gives outstanding customer service and an extraordinary product (IMHO). I have ordered every new flavor that has come out in the last year. And I order 30 -50ml right off the bat. I trust his mixology to that point and have only been disappointed once or twice.

I am going back a year and the flavors then were less expensive and stayed around a little bit longer. Of course, they were fewer and longer in between. And there were a lot fewer customers to clamor for special orders. Things have changed. TA tripled in cost. I will not give up the Virus just because it is more expensive to cover the cost of ingredients - QUALITY ingredients.

There have been other increases in overhead. Clark used to mix, steep, pour, label and mail every bottle himself with the help of Katy on a part time basis. His life was spent in the lab, on the computer and on the phone. NT blew up and became a real contender. Can't do that as a one man show! I miss the 'good old days' but I accept that 'if you aren't moving forward, you are going backward' as a business axiom. Progress or perish. Sad but true that this has come to pass in view of the pending regulations.

I have to be a bit repetitive here. If you don't like the price, if you can get it cheaper somewhere else and you feel the quality is comparable, then DON'T BUY IT! It is your choice. A vendor has no responsibility to price his wares to meet your budgetary constraints. Clark tries to be fair. IMHO, he does a very good job at it. I believe he does price his juice with our budgets in mind. Doesn't mean he should price them for us and not for his bottom line as well.

He could charge more for the juice and has not raised prices on the core offerings in the year I have been dealing with him, except for the TA based juices.

Anyway, I choose to continue to support Nicoticket. I may supplement with juice sales from a few other vendors. I am stocking up for vapeapocalypse. I am also getting into DIY. I am watching out for MY bottom line and sometimes that means not buying the SRs. That is not Clark's fault. He realizes that some of his juices have been the reason that folks are not smoking. He takes that responsibility very seriously. But, just because he cares for us does not mean he should hurt himself to make us happy.

Done. Sorry for the length. It is late and I rambled but I am going to hit post. Just cause I wanted to say all of it.
