So, last month there was a mention of a new juice company 'Prime Time Vapes', and I was compelled to try them.
While my original order had some issues due to technical issues from the site being just launched (like hours earlier), I started talking with Dion, the owner and blendmaster for the one man operation to get things sorted out. A week or so later, as a gesture, a package arrived with several 5ml samples.
While I haven't tried all of them, I must say that he really has something going here. The flavors are top notch. So far I have given three of six flavors a day each in my RDA, and tried a fourth this evening.
Day one I figured that I would try the fruity end of things.... Pomegranate Pear. As for flavor it is a 9/10. Sooo yummy. I can clearly taste both flavors, and they balance and compliment each other very well. Just the right amount of sweetness as well. Vapor production is up there with the best as thick plumes were achieved. The throat hit on this flavor is minimal, as there is no tobacco or harsh flavor to add to that, but you can definitely feel the thick warm vapor going down.
Next day I went for Apple Pie. This is an interesting one... it doesn't really taste like apple pie, yet it is really good. Not sure how to profile the flavor, as it has a deep, rich sweet flavor, yet not as expected. I get a hint of apple, not much cinnamon, and an underlying tone of vanilla. While this should equal apple pie... the vanilla is strongest, which isn't really a bad thing at all. Vanilla Apple would be a more apt description. Flavor is 8/10, vapor production is the same wonderful clouds and throat hit is also mild on this one, nice and smooth.
Then on to River Rush. The blue tint is a nice visual touch. I was concerned with the added colorants, but upon asking, there is a very, very small amount of food grade coloring... just enough to tint the batch ever so slightly. It's a nice tropical tasting juice, very well balanced mix. I can't pinpoint any specific flavor, much like making a smoothie. Flavor was good enough that it was my all day vape the day I tried it. By the end of the day, my MVP with another flavor still had a full charge, and I had been through two batteries in my mech that I was vaping the River Rush. Heck, I was even dripping in the car, which I never do. Flavor here is 9/10, vapor is thick and beautiful and throat hit is moderate to full. This may become one of my all day vapes soon.
Then tonight, I transitioned in to the Sunset. This is a tropical fruit blend with underlying tones of tobacco. The fruit mix is very different than the River Rush, with the prominent flavor being pineapple or something.. WOW! Full of flavor, full on throat hit, full on vapor. This will also be one of my ADVs. Flavor again 9/10, clouds of vapor and a moderate throat hit that is just harsh enough to satisfy this ex smoker of hand rolled shag tobaccos.
As mentioned, these juices all have a tint to them, except for the Pomegranate Pear, which I think he is testing, as it is not posted on the website. If colorants concern you, let him know... Dion is a really nice guy and seems to be dialing these in. As we have been talking, I learned that he's been doing this for a long time, and his signature flavors have been in the works for over three years now, only releasing to the public when he thought they were perfect.
I can't recommend these juices strong enough. He's new in the game, and the website and packaging need some polish, but as some of us know, Kirkland vodka wins out over Grey Goose in many blind taste tests (I've done it myself, and preferred the Kirkland) so presentation doesn't always reflect what's in the bottle.
He orders his flavors from Flavourart, a high end Italian flavor maker. They are fantastic.
Personally, I etch blue glass Boston rounds with droppers for my staples, and it looks like I might be buying some stencils soon.
Give them a shot.. I think you'll be more than pleasantly surprised.
