I've been back and forth with the Tank and LR mega atomizer. I just can't seem to get a consistent flow of juice on the Tank and I like to have something reliable at work. BTW I'm using heavy VG (80% or better).

Sitting here before going to bed I thought I'd screw around with the tank a little bit. Of course I fill up my Tank and start huffing and puffing away and start to get that burnt smell/taste. So I figure the juice is just not flowing. I decided that I somehow need to get that wick primed or filled with juice so while staring at the Tank and atomizer I thought I'd cover up the vent holes at the bottom of the atomizer and suck without firing the atty.

It seemed to have worked. Shortly thereafter, the taste came through. I keep taking the Tank off to check the level by turning upside down and it's definitely going down. So whenever I replace the Tank back into the atomizer, I give it the 'ole cover-and-suck and it seems so far it's working well. This may have been covered before somewhere else. If it has, I haven't seen it. Let me know if it works for you.

I hadn't heard about leaving a space at the top. My little method thing does work, but you have to be careful not to create too much pressure for too long or you will be sucking juice. It works that well. I got a mouthful last night after posting this and had the atty pretty flooded. I'm not saying this is an ideal scenario day in and day out, but for people having trouble wicking, especially thicker juices, will have some success this way.

I just received two tank atomizers and one tank a couple of days ago. The first atty that I tried doesn't work very well. It only produces a tiny bit of vapor and tastes bad. Finally, tonight, I tried the other atty. Perfect!! Clouds of vapor, great taste, etc. So, since I'm using the same tank, same battery, I can only conclude that the one atty isn't quite up to par. I'll keep fooling around with it, but if it had been the only one that I ordered, I would have been disappointed.

When you first put the tank on the atty, give it two or three solid spins around to get that hole as open as possible. In fact, what I've been doing is using a sharp instrument to open it even a bit more. I don't know if that's recommended, but I've done it and had no problems.

The new atty has some straight VG on it and that is probably what you're tasting. Just keep on vaping a few puffs and that will go away.

I do not believe the tank primes the atty by gravity feed -- take a light puff without activating the battery to prime the atty.

I agree LukeNM. In fact, I've read where some folks give the system two or three sharp puffs with the finger OFF the battery button and that seems to get things going pretty well..

Well, I just put the pre filled tank on atty and I'll have to say I'm really impresed. I gave away my black eGos but kept the blinged out Pinks with Mega batteries. (puppies just stole one and I'm not going to look for it in yard till tomorrow). There was a lot of primer in the atty so I blew it out and soaked it for a couple hours in PGA. Then blew it out, put on tank and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Didn't do anything else. First toke was perfect and impressive. I'm really into huge amounts of vapor and I've become quite spoiled with the vapor production using Reos and mods with Storm Tank. This T-tank is not at all disappointing. And the prefilled tobacco juice is quite nice. For months now all I've been using is sweet caramel and butterscotch blends and about the only tobacco I've used is Cuban from FSUSA, which is very mild, smooth, and with a hint of sweet but I'm really liking the TW prefilled tank tobacco juice. It has a hint of pipe sweetness to it.

I thought I was going to hate the look of the black whsitle tips (I like whistle tips) with the pink but the TW devil, on the pink cone, pulls it together. I did take the jewels off off battery, though, as it looks better without them.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your tank system Alice. My wife and I are on day 3 of ours and they are still working just fine with no leaks.

Regarding "Priming wick and atomizer on the Tank," I've been cleaning our atty's at night, just as you would do with any atty and then letting them dry overnight.

To prime the atty the next morning I take my syringe with the needle and put a couple drops of juice on the atty cone before screwing on the tank, and it takes right off again with the great flavor and huge clouds of vapor.

We're really enjoying these tanks!

Well maybe my method only works for people with thicker juices (Dark, VG, etc). I do know that my own formulated combination of BWB Maple Tobacco VG and AmericanELiquidstore Cinnamon VG is too thick to adequately wick on its own.

With that said, the tanks are great, but I prefer LR on these eGo batteries and have since gone back to my mega LR atty and dripping. I'm currently waiting on a 5v box mod and may not be back to the tank system until they release a LR version. As a matter of fact, I don't even use like using a blank cartridge on the LR atty because the plastic cools down the vapor too much for my liking.

LOL, I hear ya triplec (I like your handle) and you're right. There are a lot of methods for vaping and what one likes may not be for the other.

I'm using Wyatt Earp as my all day vape from another Supplier and its a 50-50 mix, dark and fairly thick. So far it hasn't been a problem on my tank.

For my tastes and needs, I really don't like dripping although I do it for new juices I want to try and definitely don't like a hot vape. But that's what my tastes are - not everybody else's.

I would imagine that soon there will be an LR version and they may even find a way to improve the wicking for real thick juices. Things are changing so fast in the world of vaping. It wasn't all that long ago that all we had was dripping on a standard atty and cartos that weren't very impressive.

I just watched a video where the guy took a paper clip and pushed the wick material inside the piercing tip down about a millimeter so that it made better contact with the heating element. After doing so, he said the atomizer worked perfectly...

From the video reviews I've seen, you need to remember 2 things:

1. VG more than 20% doesn't work well with the Tank
2. When filling the tanks, leave 2-3mm of air at the top or it won't flow initially very well.

That's only what I've heard, I'll be getting my tanks today.

I use >80% aqueous glyerin (85% VG+15% distilled water) with the tank (soon I will try 99% aqueous glyerin). By far the most important thing so far seems point 2. Do not to fill the tank and leave lots of air on the top. Filling only half tank with VG seems to work out of the box. I removed the little membrane (I didn't enlarge the hole, I only removed the little membrane that remains a bit attached) to try if it works better and removing the little membrane seems to work with a full tank too, but it still doesn't work too well initially. So I think I'm simply going to fill half to the tank and I won't bother to remove the membrane when I change the mouthpiece...

In short if you leave the tank half empty I think it should work well with 85% VG and 15% distilled water.... the good thing is with the tank the atomizer won't ever risk to run dry (using clear mouthpiece you see when it's finished) so it should keep the atomizer at lower temperatures than if the atomizer can run dry at times with only a bit of VG touching it (that's a lot more important with VG than with PG for obvious reasons...).
