That's cool by me. I'd be available to help beta that.

From all posts and info I've seen online, the SX line of chips are better performers and more robust than the dna line. Especially considering they have more features and higher power ceilings. Nothing against the DNAs, as I have a DNA30/40 and Gdna40 and they all work well for what they are.

The two main SX chips currently are the square screened SX350 - Authentic YiHi SX350 60W Chip! There's a DWG file for it at that link.
And the SX350 Mini (and soon to be SX350J). The Mini/J is a smaller, rectangular screened chip. Authentic YiHi SXmini 60W/120W Chip!

The major downside to them is that the screen is not separable from the chip, so the arrangement I photoshopped and Gdeal showed in his render is about the only way to make them work.

If you want a nice look, I'd say the square screened SX350 as it would look nice when the mod is standing up. If you want a slim screen and in mid-March, temperature control, you'd want the SX350 Mini/J.

It is detachable on the SX350 with some heat and patience, I've done it. Can flip it 90 or 180 degrees then.

Great to see some familiar faces in here! :)

After building my Peko, which is my daily driver, I said what the heck let me try my hand at a dna one!

I am taking place in a party for one of the new DNA 25 's coming out. (Will that chip board fit?

Also would like to know if someone has a spare kit they are willing to sell or would like to exchange for a Peko kit? Please shoot me a P.M if you do.

Dna 25 should be the same as dna 40 so no problems there.

As for the kits currently I'm ready to snatch it out of someone's hand just walking by. They are scarce :).

Make sure you remind him many times. Including PMs....he likes those....doesn't get enough.

I think Shapesways might have finally come around with providing the quality prints they were doing before last year's cluster f. Its only a couple of pieces, but the most recent order I just got from them, the prints were really nice! I was impressed with the precision of print layers and a more than usual solid feel to the part. Did they turn the corner? IDK, but I willing to give them another try on my next print purchase.

These are a new version (v3) of Caps for Wood. While you can see the individual grains of the material, the curves are very smooth.

How about a Bottom Feed type body to go with that...perhaps without the cutout of the bottle. ...maybe a center piece.

...glad to see you still producing!
