Yeah those battery numbers seem consistent with what I saw on that battery comparison site. I just figured if the mod needed to be bigger to put the SX350 then just make it a tad larger for the 26650.

Here is a thought that I've been kicking around for a while; Using flexible food grade printable plastic to make our own bottle. That way you could make it more like a slide in insert that doubled as your inner "skeleton" that kept everything in its place. This should give you the room to put the sx350 and increase the volume of juice you can carry, all in the same form factor.

Have you ever considered buying your own 3d printer gdeal?

Yes, but I havent found one (that is reasonable $$$) that can match the quality of shapeways. I also dont really print that many prototypes, I spend more time on Autodesk Inventor playing around with CAD designs. If you can stay within shapeways guidelines, they usually are spot on with dimensions, so if/when I get to a design that looks good, they gladly get my business. Plus their customer service is great and they respond within less than a day. They re-printed a couple of parts for free (including shipping) with barely any questions asked.

Food grade plastic printing would be great. That would take care of a lot of space issues. Too bad we cant print customize batteries... :D

I came up with a compact way to pair the 26650 with a juice bottle and the sx350 chip. basically the bottle and the chip stacked approx equal the width of the battery so together they fit very efficiently space wise and give a mod that still fits in your palm, of course it's a little fat but it's not as bad as you would think, it's still very nice in the hand.

the problem is, the 26650 isn't necessarily much better than the best 18650's out there when it comes to using it with a vv chip, so it really doesn't last all that much longer within the range of use of a 35 watt chip, where the 26650's really shine is with mech's. they can really take repeated heavy loads of super low ohm high amp builds better before they drop below 3.7v so they last maybe 40% longer when your really doing high power vaping, but with a chip it's almost wasted space and weight. I mean don't get me wrong it does last a little longer than my 18650 vv bf mod but only like 15-20% longer at best from what I'm seeing. not so sure it's worth the added bulk tbh. it makes a cool mod but it's not so much better than an 18650 when it comes to vv in the 30-35 watt range. start pushing 50-60 watts and more and then the 26650 will start earning it's weight :)

I like your design and think you optimized the configuration of parts. It is a bit bigger in size, but I think given the ability to bring down the wall thicknesses and maybe tighten up inter-component distances (vs a wood version), it may not be that big of issue? <than 10mm or so. Hmm...

Man why didn't I find this thread earlier!

This is exactly what I've been after for quite some time. This plus a modded Magma RDA is my dream vape

Magma is next on my list.....

I've been considering a Magma next myself, would love some input from anyone who may have converted one to BF.

Havent seen any one do it yet, but it should be fairly easy. Straight shot through the 510 pin.

Props to "TDC123" for posting this pic over here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...573692-fasttech-magma-clone.html#post13431563
