No its a new part group. You can go to the site and look for your order. If it didnt go into production yet hit the cancel button on the top right and then just re-order the new one.

Argh just went into production this morning. (I don't actually care, but I'm Greek, I am required by law to complain about anything and everything.)

The new internals are less complex and will have less thinner walled structures and the three internal parts will assemble more easily. I am making this change at this time because Shapeways went to new system and every time a print of this part is made, they send out annoying emails that the dimensions are at the threshold of their guaranteed spec, etc...

Mine went into production yesterday morning as well, with the 3.1.
No email from them though....

Out of curiosity do they always take a month, or is it because this is my first order ?

A month? It only been available for less than two weeks... Some material/colors take longer in production, what did you get?

BTW, same offer stands that I put out to Kataphractos. I have the new version on order, glad to do a swap with you if you want.

@gdeal - Again, great thread priceless info.
Reading the thread through....again :), I see someone previously asked about the display on the bottom. I am not sure this would be entirely healthy for me long term. Aside from caging it with titanium brings me to this question, in subsequent versions would it make sense to flip the the internals so that there may be room on top for the display?
I feel there may be I set it down in a condensation flood plain as in my bathroom counter top area where it is tough to see water on the slab?
I am just curious and hell bent on the Group Buy regardless, I suspect you have too thought of future placement. Thanks :)

Uh, the top comes off to fill the juice bottle and swap batteries. You'd need some kind of multi-pin connector to remote the display into the top, where there's really no room for it anyway.

The display itself is recessed quite a way in the bottom of the mod. I'll try to take a picture showing this in a bit.

Yep top comes off, seen it. Hence the reversal of the internals. The new Flask mod is what prompted the question.

Edit - I should of been more specific about flipping the internals, the bottom of the mod obviously would have to be the removable piece. I get the room issue, promise. I am just well....me and not so sure the bottom is the best answer for me. I am far too active to see this lasting but, I may surprise myself.

I should have said 21 days, my bad.

Nah... not worried at all, but appreciate the offer.
Just contemplating ordering a second set of parts, and I'm sure that won't be my last either :D

Edit
I've been watching this project for some time.
My sincerest gratitude goes to gdeal and the entire Beta Team for the tireless work on this, thank you.

OK, here you go:

I haven't tried setting it on a wet counter, but I doubt water could puddle deep enough on a flat surface (from which it could run off) to reach the display.

I have (unintentionally) dropped this mod onto a tile floor from my shirt pocket. The end with the display in it hit first. The impact was sufficient for the battery to flatten the lower battery contact. There was no other damage to the mod. The plastic it's made from seems to absorb impact pretty well.

No problem here Jake....:) Ok I see what you have going on. You got polished bronze parts. They take up to 15 business days to make/ship.. so the Aug 27th date makes sense. It looks like they are just queuing up the black parts so that they finish up with the bronze parts. Shapeways is pretty good at meeting or beating ship dates in my experience.

I think the top would be more of a risk than the bottom....over squonking has been know to happen. The DNA screen is at least 4 mm off the base. Not sure what your flood plain looks like, but at least you now have a depth chart. :D

That would make it "interesting" to get to the juice bottle.

That Flask Mod is pretty cool. But it's not a bottom-feeder. ;)

I have over squonked . Not to mention my Cyclone weeps out of the air hole. In fact, I think my Chalice II's are my only "dry" options.

Yeah, I know. I clearly didn't think this through. I happened to be over loaded on testosterone without clarity thinking that I just invented world peace.
I'm not even sure what I was f thinking
