Just an FYI I'm using 2 FD adjustable BF'er 510's right now and this morning I woke up to check atomizer message :( If I remove the atty the message goes away.
As soon as I try to put it back on the dna locks and it give check atomizer message. I then have to remove atty and click 5 times to unlock
I want to get a few SS screws and mod this 510 So hopefully I can get it to work better

Yes I am It worked fine for a week or so I took it all apart and besides being a little wet all looks ok
I have the + lead soldered to the collar and I am suspecting this is were my problem lies
I will reconnect the
+ lead directly to the brass pin and see if it remedies the problem

Hmmm, then somewhere your losing connectivity to the atty when screwed on. Are you using an o-ring inside the connector where the pin makes contact with atty?

Yes... good idea. For bottom feed the spring adjust ability just isnt that important to me. I would rather have a static leak free seal.
Yep, about the only time I remove my BF atties (Cyclones) is on the mechs when I re-coil 'em (to check ohms) and then the same atty goes back on. On the DNA, there's no need to remove 'em even when recoiling, so the atty basically never comes off that one.

I soldered about a foot and a half of 18g wire onto the circuit board of my box ohm meter so I never have to take my attys off. :D

You know those beer hats, with the slots on either side for beer cans and tubes running down to the wearer's mouth area?

This is the vaping version of the beer hat.

Truly mesmerized and in awe.

How much fudge factor do you add to your readings for the wire? Back of the envelope math says 3 feet of 18 gauge wire would be about 20 milli-ohms.
