Privite Discussions (members only)

Some of you may not be aware that we have a section for discussion that can only be viewed or posted in by members of our group.
To get there just click your user name and go to your profile, then look on the right and click the picture of our group and you will be there. Scroll down and you will see the "discussion" section and you can reply to threads or start a new one.

At least I think it is privite, for members only. Maybe a mod can varify this? Or make it that way if it's not.

Yep, it's suppose to be private. I sent a message to the webmaster. I am having trouble saving the option that only members can view the content but everytime I do, I get an error message.

For now, until it is corrected, let's hold off on that. I do like the idea.

I'll let everyone know when we are good to go with the "Members only" area.

Another problem I am having is that our forum is not accessible unless you are logged in. Other forums can be viewed but ours is not even on the list unless you are logged in. I need the forum to be open to the public (but moderated) so that seekers can come to us.

Thanks Max, I really like the private chat because I can't stand flamers and people who feel they can't say anything or make a point without foul language or name calling.
I will always consider all points of view as long as someone is willing to present it in an adult fashion.

I have some issues (with myself and/or God) that some of you may be able to discuss with me? (or help) (but I'd like to keep them "with us Christians", and not be viewable to all of the forum).

This social group forum and discussion group is private and can only be viewed by Christain Vapor members. One must request to be a member or be invited to be a member.

We are all here for each other so feel free to discuss what it is that we may help you with. Bear in mind that 30+ people will be able to read your posts.

Do keep in mind that as moderator, I approve membership to those coming from the e-cig forum seeking God. With that said, I have faith that all that join are like minded christians such as ourselves and till this day, it has been just that.

However, I do keep tabs just incase someone slips thru the cracks and tries to stir things up in here. That's when I'll step in and take whatever action neccessary for the benefit of the group.

So knock your self out and post away. We are here for you. In the name of Jesus, you have no issues with God!!! The enemy has a habit of blinding us and confusing us. His sole purpose is to get you further and further away from God, BUT we are here to reel you back in.

Also feel free to PM anyone here in the group if the issues at hand are really private. Look over all the members, pray and see in whose direction God will take you to to help you out.

Where are all my Christian supporters at? I have been defending the Bible over in the "Are you religious" thread for a few days now. I think this could be a good place to talk to non believers at but Im getting no support except for one other Christian.

Sometimes I am baffled at how many Christians are out there but don't want to get involved in spreading the gospel and would rather take a back seat and not get involved..Didn't Jesus command us to spread the good news?

You don't have to argue or get mean, just state your points in a nice way . I will be praying that GOD would guide us to open the eyes of others on this board.

I've said my piece over there. Yes spread the news by all means....but it is their CHOICE to take it as truth. Perhaps now is not the time for them to understand. (Took me a while...).

Perhaps some of our other members could offer a fresh approach. The bible says anytime the word goes out it won't return empty so for awhile (and maybe again) it was a great venue to spread the truth. Let's try not to pass up any opportunities to spread the word. Absolutely gep and that's exactly what we are called to do. The rest is up to God. By the way I think vanilla ice cream is really the best. Don't you wonder though; how many people have read through that thread and had their hearts pricked by the word? I didn't see any believer threads that were mean or nasty and think we gave it a pretty good go. I really liked the site MissVapor (I think) linked and found it quite interesting.

It's nearly impossible to get an opinion (or truth) communicated in a thread like that. It's tough enough to communicate the depth of Christ in print, let alone in a format where a person can simply scroll past your message.

People know of this group. people know that Christians are willing to listen and help. They may slam us, and write us off as zealots, but when their backs are truley against the wall, they turn to God. That's where we come in. He will send them. They will find us.

I'm not saying that we should sit back and wait, but sometimes, it's better to pick our battles.

If we get frustrated and lash out in a hot thread, we'll alienate, and give credit to people set out to discredit us.

That thread pretty much ran its course once the "poser" showed up and it was appropriately shut down. For awhile the dialogue was very good and it has gotten many views. I think you're exactly right Zaxx, cool heads and warm hearts must prevail in such discussions.
