Can you soak a Joye ego t atomizer in alcohol? I just assumed the side that hits the battery should never come in contact with liquid

I dunno about soaking it in a vat of alcohol but sure, you can clean your rig with alcohol. prolly a good idea after things start gumming up since the threads themselves are actually part of the batty contact. cleaner connections means better performing devices. I usually use qtips or something though.
I wash mine in alcohol no problem. Rinse it out well and let it dry completely-about a day. Occasionally those threads do need to be cleaned on the attys and the battery. Work some isopropyl around the threads and contacts with a dampened q-tip or old tooth brush.
When my ego atties start to taste bad I throw them in an ultrasonic cleaner filled with either vodka or white rum (the cheap stuff, not drinking it). Ive had about a 75% success rate getting foul tasting atties back to factory fresh taste. I run them for 10-20 minutes depending on how dirty they are. Blow them out afterwards and let them dry for 24 hours. Your mileage may vary, but it works for me.
