Ok, laying all my pride aside and asking it.... Do dual coil clearomizers drain juice quicker than single coils?

Bonus stupid question: Will running your PV at a higher voltage/wattage drain your juice quicker too?

The stupid questions are the one's that aren't ask! The answer is yes to both..........someone with more time/expertise will come along and give all the technical details I am sure :) and welcome!

Only stupid question is the one not asked....:)

Dual coil will drain a battery a bit faster, as it usually needs a higher voltage to supply the wattage to the coils. The difference is not great.

Higher voltage / wattage will drain the battery faster, but a good quality 18650 should last most of a day for even a heavy vaper...:)

LOL! Thank you guys. I am a member of a mechanic forum and people are HASSLED to no end if someone deems it a "stupid question". I read and Vapeing every chance I get (No, I'm not addicted to this hobby :) ) and I DO use the search function on both the site and Google before posting.

BTW- my woman and I just absolutely love the Vapeing community! Lots of great friendly people out there. Feels like a club, hobby, and friendship all rolled into one!

Thank you all!

Those of us in the ECF do not intentionally hassle anyone over any question. We (okay, I mean me) may on occasion advise you that a certain course of action may cause serious harm to yourself or others but this is normally restricted to 2 main categories - first one is asking how to rebuild coils without anyway of checking the resistance or for shorts and anything involving 48-100mg nic base. Questions in the new members forum about these 2 things indicate that someone has not done any serious research into either topic and will need to be forewarned of the dangers - our first priority is to make sure newbies do not injure themselves or others and (in my case) the second priority is to avoid any possibility of negative publicity of vaping.

People who ridicule anyone over a perceived "stupid question" are just cyber bullies (and are probably bullies in real life) with low self esteem and just want to appear superior.

Trust me, there will always be someone smarter and more experienced (except, of course, for Baditude and the Ocelot) than you or me

now excuse me while I go back over to the Mensa members forum and prove that they are all wrong.

They scolded me on this item, but it was good advice and they didn't leave any spank marks. :)

This is a great community, with great people and this website is a wonderful resource. And Dakota Jim, you give those Mensa people the once over.

Well actually there are 2 Umpa Lumpa Troll's wondering the halls of ECF that, if you leave the door open on a thread or sub-forum, they will wonder in, ask some insanely stupid questions then slough away but most ignore them, some play with them for a little while but tire quickly.

But to answer the OP's question based on my personal experience, yes and yes, dual coils take more juice to produce vapor without burning and higher voltage/wattage will use more juice because as you vaporize it faster it has to be replaced in the coil faster to prevent burning and as a result, faster = faster.

I am 2 weeks old in this site and have asked so many “off the wall” questions you would laugh at the idea that yours were stupid, every one of them answered politely and very informatively. So welcome to ECF and ask away without fear. These folks are just awesome. I think people who vape are a new better breed of human.:D

**edit: I hope I didn't invite the trolls in with that comment.
