hi everyone, thanks for your suggestions and help. i tried switching to vg and it made throat clearing and phlegm worse. as i said i do have chronic bronchitis and i think for some reason the e cig is just acting as an irritant. much as i HATE the idea i may have to stop vaping and put the patch on. i just wish i knew what the heck caused this after 6 months because initially i was fine. i know i will be miserable with the darn patch.

As far as I know I have no health problems. I chain vape continuously on days off, and as much as possible on work days. Been at it for > 1.5 years. Last 9 months, I'm 0Nic0FA DIY eLiquid, Zero Nicotine Zero Flavor Added. Mostly use 75%PG/25%VG DIY eLiquid. Nothing for me to go thru at least 15mL a day and some days 30mL's. I occasionally feel the need to clear Phlegm from my lungs, and also, notice that when I vape my nose runs, (actually drips). Quit vaping, nose drip stops. I know it's directly related to vaping for me. I HOPE these things aren't indicating that vaping is going to cause me health problems later. JMHO

Cheers,

I get the throat clearing and nose running a lot now too. I've been vaping for 2 1/2 years, and the problems didn't start until about a year in. Some flavors of juices can make it worse, and higher MG makes it worse. I'm down to 12mg now, but I still get the congested throat fairly frequently, and I still get the nose drip quite often.

I'm in the process of downgrading to 0mg, or just quitting vaping altogether. While vaping is undoubtedly safer than smoking, I still don't like that I'm addicted to something. And I vape way more than I ever smoked!

I started getting phlegm really bad after my first 6 months of vaping, I had read about the dreaded phlem problems and got really freaked out. I tried every different combination of PG/VG/nic and flavoring to see if something would help. I even concidered quitting vaping, but after 3 or 4 months it slowly went away. Well it started again a few months ago when the trees and plants started blooming. who knew I've developed severe outdoor allergies. This allergy season I've been taking meds and the problem has gotten much better. I did recently travel to south and low and behold, no nose running, no throat clearing and no phlegm. I vaped like crazy and never took allergy meds........
