Problem -- help!

I have a joye ego tank type B. My LR atties that go with it (the big tank atties) have had a really super hard draw lately so I washed one in Vodka. No go, still really hard draw. I tried to stick a pin into the wick to -- well i dont really know -- i stuck a pin in there cuz i thought maybe it would make the draw better. And then? The wick disappeared. Can somebody pretty please tell me what to do to get the wick back?
