Problem on still smoking while vaping

Hi all, Ive been vaping on and off for 1 and half now it seems depending on my job ive had a problem of staying off the smokes. Pretty much its when I work outside the vape just doesnt do it while when im working indoors vaping is fine even when I have to go outside to do so. Anyone else had this problem and any advice of staying off the smokes?

How I got it to work the last time. Its involve some pain, but no pain, no gain, LOL.

I went cold turkey for 7 days. I was just at the point of pulling my hair out when I tried a vape and it gave me some peace. After 7 days of hell, I figured this vape thing could work for me this time. I have just over a year under my belt now and could`nt be happier with the choice.

Yeah this is my second go around, I think the problem might be with me is I get bored with what im using or maybe need to step the nic lvl up(only at 6mg). This time around got a new kanger subtank mini so hopefully it helped me put down smoking for good.

Can you elaborate on your vape setup a little? Nicotine level, atomizer choice and battery will do.

I'm asking because I quit successfully for nearly a year the first time, but the second time around I had trouble vaping full time. I just couldn't enjoy it as I once did.

I had stepped up my nicotine levels since I was coming straight off (strong) tobacco again and what clicked for me was actually lowering nicotine, and drastically (18mg to 6mg overnight). Haven't looked back since.

Worked for me, I'm sure it won't work for everyone, but I figured it was worth mentioning since it's a counterintuitive approach. I do use drippers on a mech, however.

[EDIT] Ah, slow on the draw. I guess if nic-levels are an issue, you should probably consider bumping it up.

Believe me, vaping is much better than cold turkey, but you have to have to make an effort. Without effort you'll loose.

I started vaping a little over a month ago and had the same issue for a few weeks. Stepped up to 18mg and vape around 10w with a emow BDC. Stopped buying smokes and still have to fight the urge to bum one when others have one lit. It's going to take a little will power. I don't need the nic but the habit of smoking is a pain to break. Hang in there.

what i bring to work is a hana box mod with a dna 30 with a subtank mini on top right now the most diffcult thing is because of all but one of the ppl I work with smoke and are a pack a day smokers. But with this current setup I'm running is keeping me interest and just need to stop buying smokes so I dont have the option while im at work, since everyone I work with smokes non menthol and I am not one of those ppl.

It is tuff ciggeretts are a ..... to kick for me I found vapeing helped I may only have a month free from ciggeretts but it was like a over night think for me. I smoked a pack and a half a day menthol. I started vapeing at 6 mg . I am now down to 3mg . What helped me was a warmer vape and a flavor I enjoyed . I started with a eleaf 50w and a Kanger sub mini useing occ but started use rba and rda I made vapeing like a hobby . I love building on them . I watch tons of videos on how to do it. It keeps me busy and not thinking about ciggeretts. I am still suck a newbie but a ciggerett free one I have no desire to have one either . But I do crave the vape alot but the crave is like half as bad as the ciggeretts crave . Anyway good luck

I was a half a pack smoker for 25 yrs. I tried to quit using a ego knock off and those cheap clearmizer that maybe lasted a week. Was using 18mg strengh nic.
I was still smoking, even with that set up, I think I finally quit the stinkies when I wander into a vape shop that sold clones, got set up with a nemsis and a helix clone atty. drop the nic down to 6mg, and was off the cigarettes within a couple of days.

Ill have to give that all a try havent smoked one since saturday night when I was drinking and today was my monday and was able to bare thru the day without smoking and only tootin on the vape a few times, but it def helps when you have a busy day as today was. Well, you have some good equipment so that isn't the problem, and if you're sub-ohming then 6mg nicotine should probably be fine. Maybe you aren't vaping enough and getting enough nicotine? There are other addicting things tobacco companies add to cigarettes that make them addictive. It took upwards of three, three and a half days to get rid of that slightly flu-like "off" feeling and starting to feel more normal. It wasn't that bad to be honest, but I'm 28 and only smoked 12 years, if you've smoked longer it may be harder. I'm around people that smoke and it doesn't really bother me as when I see people smoking I just think about all of the messed up poison added into cigarettes and it makes me sick thinking about it, here's a quick list, next time you want a cigarette remember that this is what you're inhaling, plus a whole lot more and some things that they won't even tell you about!

Well, you have some good equipment so that isn't the problem, and if you're sub-ohming then 6mg nicotine should probably be fine. Maybe you aren't vaping enough and getting enough nicotine? There are other addicting things tobacco companies add to cigarettes that make them addictive. It took upwards of three, three and a half days to get rid of that slightly flu-like "off" feeling and starting to feel more normal. It wasn't that bad to be honest, but I'm 28 and only smoked 12 years, if you've smoked longer it may be harder. I'm around people that smoke and it doesn't really bother me as when I see people smoking I just think about all of the messed up poison added into cigarettes and it makes me sick thinking about it, here's a quick list, next time you want a cigarette remember that this is what you're inhaling, plus a whole lot more and some things that they won't even tell you about!
