There's been no such message on the main site in the UK (where I order from) and I've not received any emails to this effect regarding my order. All I've received is the automated "Order Confirmation" email on Saturday and the website shows that payment has been taken and received.
Just to clarify, on the UK site on the main page the message is not displayed. However, if you click on delivery under information on the right side of the main page the message is up above the rates for shipping.
You can get a Order Confirmation and payment received notice and still be back ordered unfortunately.
