I'm just getting into vaping and just joined the forum.

I'm seeing a problem whereby when I am logged in, I am restricted in what content I see.

One problem is, when I try to view a thread, I often get the error: "johnnytwofingers, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:"

Another is, when I go to http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ I don't see any forums listed at all.

If I log out, or use another browser that's not logged in, both of these problems go away. Is there something I have to do to my account to enable it? (I *did* click the activation link sent to me in the initial email.)

Yes, that is by design. You might want to read the first two sticky posts at the top of this forum.

Ok, just to make sure I'm following you correctly.....

The two stickies are here:
New Members Forum
1. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...bers-must-post-5-times-new-members-forum.html
All new members must post 5 times in this forum before it is possible to post anywhere else.
We apologize for this, but it is the only way we can control the large amount of spam that will otherwise overload us.

2. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...95859-read-new-members-information-forum.html
New Members: please read the information we have for you before you do anything else. ECF is a huge forum with a vast amount of information on it, we want to help you start out right. We have some information for you, to help you find your way around. We also have some rules that everyone has to follow, because without them we cannot cope with the volume of spam and abuse.
....which points me to the forum: New Members Information

I'm not sure what it is I might be missing?
Perhaps this: "All new members must post 5 times in this forum before it is possible to post anywhere else. "
...should actually be:
"All new members must post 5 times in this forum before it is possible to read or post anywhere else. "??

From an Admin:

Change the skin to one other than the vb4Main Tabbed skin and you
should be all set. I'll remind our coder that the forum main index
display is incorrect for that skin.

Made that change and it worked. So, this had been breaking not only my "main menu" of the forums, but also any individual article I tried to read.
