Problem with burned coil

Hi mates sorry if i sound too ......ed but im novice, hopefully someone can help me.

KBOX and Top tank here. Yesterday for the first time i tried to do my own build with the mini rba. It ended with bad taste and burned cotton. Thats okay but... Then immediately went for an fresh new NC coil and i had the same bad burned taste. Thought it was just the liquid, changed it but still the same.

Any reasons what I have to do and whats the solution?

Decrease the wattage.

I did it. On the new NC coil im vaping at 15-18-20~ watts.

Yes, on both sides and top. Im doing everything as I always do. However, still cant understand why i have the ....ed up taste from the previous head.

Maybe...wicking too tight? Which cotton are You using...and how do You use it?

I prefer the scottish roll method...but I remove on both sides, not only one. I use almost 100% VG...and have no problems, even with very high wattages...even with tanks...outside...in winter time!

Did you Prime the wick with ejuice?

It sounds like you need to clean the Atty inside and out. When you burn a wick tge taste tends to stay a while.

Just forgot to add that the taste isnt completely unvapeable. Its most likely mix between burn out wick and some little flavor.

Btw one more question. If i put the OCC coil in hot water and then dry it... is it good choice?

From what you're saying, this is the first time that you are building....

hmm... what metal wire are you using, gauge, and type of wick?

What about OHMs reading, did you adjust, lock it in (unlock first) if using in TC mode (and if yes, switched to the correct mode for metal)...
