hello to all.
I have a problem with a buzz pro.
suddenly the red light that you see through the crack of the regulator volt / watt does not turn blue when I press the button orange. remains red and there is no current to the pin.
I checked pin positive and negative pin and are ok.
oring all are ok and I tried to change several batteries and different atom but the problem remains.
What could have happened?
you have to give me directions?
thanks

Buzz Pro ,. I Pro , VvproV
troubleshooting check list

batteries charged ?? ( use a voltmeter if you have one , they should read 4.2 volts each )
Take off the atty /carto first
Do you have a RED LED light ?
DO you have a Blue Led light when the button is pushed.
DO you have a Blue led with the ATTY/CARTO ON the unit ?
Do you have BOTH red and Blue led lights ?
Do you get a blue led with the atty/carto ON but no vapor ?

Ark, thank you for posting the trouble shooting check list!

Capi, answer the check list questions please, and also tell me if you have taken the top cap off. It's possible that you have gotten juice down inside your Buzz Pro, or the wire that attaches to the underside of the top cap may be loose. You can follow the instructions in the link below to check under the top cap, just be careful when unscrewing it so as not to break the wire. If the screw that holds the ring terminal and wire to the underside is loose, tighten the screw, leaving just enough slack for the ring to turn as you screw the cap back on.

Let us know if this helps. When you have the cap off, look inside and see if it looks good and clean. Hopefully we can get you fixed up without having to send it in for repair all the way from Italy!

thanks for the answers.
I am very happy.
the batteries to about 4.2 volt meter mark.
I opened the top cap and the connections to the positive and negative pins were ok.
oring are the new seeds.
I disassembled the positive pin and the light was still red solid by pressing the button.
I also removed the negative pin with the same result.,
in any way, and only the LED remains red and no current flows.

I'll wait for Bovina to confirm, but from what I read in your notes, it sounds like you may need to send it it to the Buzzpitol for service

the information you need to send it in is here
RMA form

If you are still under warranty, it should be free, otherwise, it sounds like the PCB (The Printed Circuit Board) needs to be replaced, they run about $30 if I recall correctly.

the way I check mine, is to take the top cap off, remove the wire from it. with tested good batteries, and the top wire not contacting the body, the light should turn blue when you push the button. if it doesn't, I would be surprised if anything other than sending it in for service will fix it. if you do my test and the light turns blue, then you have a short in the top cap somewhere

Capi, the red wire should go to the top can, and the black wire to the body, just above the button! Sounds like those two wires are backwards. The black one going to the body is the ground wire. Is it possible for you to swap them and see if that works?

We are more than happy to repair it for you, I'm just trying to save you the weeks of waiting, and the high cost for you to have it shipped both ways :) If you want to send it to us, Arkador posted the info for you.

Thank you again Ark!

bovinia, arkador thanks.
pay the two way shipping more than the repair costs too much.
I hope to fix something from Italy, perhaps with your help.
I removed the wires and I have re-installed and with a voltmeter I measured the current and gives me almost 8 volts.
the problem is that it gives me the same support 8 volts if the voltmeter to the upper cup.
is short-circuited?
I can fix?

5card, thank you :)

Capi, yes try an alcohol bath as a last resort. Use a small glass something like a shot glass. Take the batteries out of you Buzz, put it top first down in the glass and pour enough isopropyl alcohol into the glass to cover your Buzz up to the switch. Let it soak for a few hours, and then let it dry for 24 hours before putting the batteries back in and testing it. You can take the top cap off and soak it in another glass for even better cleaning.

If that doesn't work, then I expect that the regulator on teh PCB has gone out and that would require all new electronics :( How long ago did you purchase your Buzz Pro?

A new PCB would be $39.95+shipping to Italy which is $25. In my opinion, it would be better to buy a new Buzz Pro if that what you would like. A brand new one would be $79.95+ the $20 international shipping. With coupon code Buzzkill, we would take 7.5% discount off your total. I would advise avoiding the chrome caps, and getting the all metal brass bottom cap. You already have batteries, which we are not allowed to ship internationally.

Here's hoping that the alcohol bath works! Let us know :)

Capi, I'm sorry the alcohol didn't work. Yes customs expenses can be an issue, but we may be able to find a less expensive option for you. Please email me at our tech support notcigs@gmail.com

Include your screen name from here so that I know who I'm talking to. I'm afraid the serial number will not help me identify the date of sale. Since you bought the unit used, there is no warranty. We will help you as much as possible tho :)
