Just as an experiment you could try thinning the juice or using less viscous juice. Unfortunately, PG/VG ratio is only part of how viscous an eliquid is. Different manufacturers will thin the VG with distilled water to different ratios. A 65/35 can easily be just as thick as a 50/50 based on this variable.

I would also try letting the atomizer soak in the tank for a solid 20 minutes before use the first time and see if this resolves the issue with your current juice. Although it does sound like you have probably primed/waited before.

Juice higher in sugar/darker juice often does seem to foul atomizers much sooner as well.

I don't have any sweet juices or very dark ones, all are very light juices.

if its after a water rinse than that discoloration could be from slight singing. when cleaning a head, the safest easiest way is to soak in vodka or everclear or something overnight. you can use isopropyl "rubbing" alcohol, but it is poisonous so you need to make sure to let it completely dry. i used to use rubbing alcohol all the time. it does completely evaporate so once its dry its safe but because its poisonous you must let it completely dry. thinining the juice isnt a bad idea. not too much though because i also read a bunch about these coils flooding. are you chain vaping when you start to get the burnt taste?

Well I don't drink Vodka so I don't have any so I'll use rubbing alcohol. I doubt I'll thin the juice and I don't chain vape, I get the burnt taste immediately.

like i said. safety firs so let them dry for like twelve hours. the juice is helped into the holes in the coil by vacuum action when you draw. you could try pulling as hard as you can with it still being comfortabe to help the juice into there. i have a tdux atomizer and there is a sweet spot on the draw to keep the atomizer saturated but not actually flooding it. in fact i got fed up and modded the coils lol.

I agree, probably bad coils. I've been using my eGo One 0.5 coil for the past week with 100% VG General's Custard with no issues. I let fresh coils saturate for 5 mins before firing. The wicks in the eGo One coil are cotton. Once you burn any cotton wick there is no way to remove the burnt taste. Just like if you burn a cotton shirt with a hot iron, you can't remove the burn mark. Soaking, rinsing will not work. You must replace the coil unit.

dont know if its the same because i dont use any tanks that take coil wicks, but i have slightly singed the cotton in my rdas plenty of times and just re juice it and good to go with no rinsing and no burnt taste. looking at his pics some of the singing ive had with no ill effects were worse than the visible singing on his

I'm pretty sure the ONE doesn't need the super hard draw, its made for beginner and senior vapers. I think I'll just screw these coils and order a 5 pack of replacements. Thanks for your help and do you know where I can get the cheapest coils for it?

I tried everything. Washed the tank. Dabbed the wick. Nothing work and I got the burnt taste after three days.

Hmmm. Mine started burning and I was like "WHAT THE HELL I PAID 80 DOLLARS FOR THIS" so I tried to change the coIL and that didn't change it. If you say you already rinsed it out and that didn't help then I would return it using the warranty. It should have came with one in the box. So if you still have it, I would return it and get a different one.

Hello, I know I am late but I have an ego one mega and I have the same problem and fixed it. After every use I unscrew the tank and rinse the tank out with water (the thing holding the juice not the battery or anything else). If you don't clean it, it tastes burnt.

Haha I sold my eGo One a few months ago. I now have two RDA's and a Subtank Mini using them with a Smok XPro M80 Plus and loving every minute of it! Thanks for responding though :)

My ego ome atomizer is very delicate. I find it a problem to change juice. Therefore I have to keep using the same juice on the same coil, I found this out when I tried menthol and then changed to blackcurrant. It tastes horrible. The berry taste never left the tank and I had to change the atomizer.

I found it to be a pain to change flavors thats why I sold it and I was ready to save money by rebuilding.

my wife has an ego one, uses the stock atty/ coil as well as a kanger subtank mini - got her some of the joyetech clr atty coils for it also (though she has not used them yet - bonus is they are supposed to be pretty easily rebuildable, if you want, or disposable - example Joye eGo ONE CLR Atomizer Head (Rebuildable) thus far, she loves the setup and uses both attys, though she is a light user for the most part... personally, I would use a kanger sub mini on that rascal, but I am pretty fond of the kanger subtanks
