Hi all,

Im under 18 and i just ordered some disposable ecigs and cigars from ePuffer. As I was reading through the terms of sales, i came across something saying that first time orders require somebody of at least 21 to sign for the package. But this is where I am confused, it says for the policy of California, I live in Vermont.
(ePuffer's Underage Delivery restriction policy for the state of California.
All first time product orders, which fall under ePuffer's age verification program, sent using USPS Adult Signature Restricted Delivery service. A valid ID and the signature of a specific addressee who must be 21 years of age or older is required at the time of delivery. USPS will not release the package under any circumstances to anyone not meeting these requirements.)

I know i cant sign for it and the only people that would be able to would be my parents, and I don't want my parents knowing of course.

What can I do to still get my products without having to sign for the package, or am I misreading this? The description describes it as it applies to all states, not just California. Hopefully I can get a response with someone who has done business with ePuffer.

Thanks

I guess you need to cancel this order and find a different vendor that will send packages requiring only an adult signature (or none). Although no responsible vendor wants to exploit minors (and incur government sanctions by selling products with nicotine to children), most vendors don't discriminate against young adults in the 18-21 age bracket.

Once a vendor sends a package thru USPS with an age restricted signature required, there doesn't seem to be any legal way to avoid that restriction. This service was apparently created to allow mailing tobacco products (other than cigars) to consumers over the age of 21.

Since it stated California and you are in Vermont that rule doesnt apply to you "unless" Vermont has the same rule. But I'll bet the delivery guy wont have time to stand there and ask for your ID verify the age and hang around for a verified signature. Just be there when the doorbell rings, open the door and sign the pad real scribbley, take the package, say thank you and shut the door...
