problem with flared cartomizer... how can i fix it

hi guys, i have a cartomizer (well its a killer/diver setup) that i dropped and the opening on top is now flared out. its really tough to put tanks and tips that go over the top on it since it pretty much just chops up the o ring and i have to use alot of force to get it seated.

Whats the best way to get this thing back to a normal shape so it can easily go in and out of tanks but still keeps a seal?

Pair of pliers? Keep squeezing it where it's flared out until it gets its shape back.

I'd put a drip tip at the top and carefully squeeze it back to shape with a pair pliers.
