Problem with Magma clone..

I bought a Tobeco Magma clone and one thing I noticed is that the negative pin comes right out. It doesn't screw in or stay in place and you can turn it with no effort. I assume this isn't right and I received a defective one. Please tell me I'm not crazy.

That is a good idea, but unfortunately I don't have any of those supplies. I guess I'll just return it

That's a bummer man! My Infinite Magma clones are nicer than the genuine! Id recommend picking one up after you return the Tobeco. I haven't seen many quality parts from Tobeco as of late.

I was so bummed. I was looking forward to getting it all week. I mean... I guess I COULD solder it in place. I'm sure someone in my family has a garage full of that stuff (yes, I know how to solder XD.) Everything else on it is really nice though.

I had the same issue with one I got. I was able to push it down enough to make it work but it would be loose so I got the infinity version and it is flawless.

I'm sorry to hear that CS, it's worth returning and picking up an Infinite. I've purchased a couple items made by Tobeco and had problems so now I stay away.

i know what you mean. i had a tobeco hammer that was meh. and probably some other tobcco items that i didnt care for but cant recall at the moment.
i rolled the dice on the tobeco veritas and i was pleasantly surprised. its made quite well. the orings were too large which made the cap difficult to remove and place on, but a quick swap of orings is all it needed. its a great atty.

oh, and the tobeco origen dripper is out-freekin-standing. incredible. sorry for the off-topic.

Picked mine up from fasttech - Mystery Magma - Excellent build

(2) kayfun Lite Plus Black Edition - Tobeco built these to requested specs. Both excellent.

Not much else from them I'd trust myself.

After I started the return process, I did order an Origen V2 clone. It looks very promising. *fingers crossed* I'll just have to stick with my TOBH until I get it.
