After some consideration i bought an iClear 30s with a Vision Spinner 3. I am using a Strawberry(full VG i believe; from ritchy.com) liquid. Im getting a sore throat and the rare cough from it.My friends' e-cigs didnt do that. I have no idea if its the iclear or liquid or both. What would be easier? buying a new atomizer or new liquid(also i have to say that around my place there arent any shops but only standalone vendors). Any help is welcome

Is your flavor coming through harsh and a bit burnt tasting? The iClear 30s isn't a tank that would normally be used with Max VG juices. It sounds almost like a wicking problem to me. If not you need to start testing, different voltage, different tank, different juice, see what the culprit is. Some people have sensitivities to certain juices, or the nicotine itself.

Well what I can tell you from experience is ask yourself what are you vaping for? How long will you continue to vape? Once you figure out what you gonna do then you should know what you need to do. I once was in you situation I started cheap with the gas station ecig I also got sick from it so my first purchase was a Istick 20w with a Nautilus mini. I tell you what it made so much of a difference. So to answer your question is you should always experiment with different equipment to find out whats best for you. To me I think its the juice but who knows it could be the tank. So go find yourself a nice setup and you wont regret it GL..

I started beginning this year, end last year. No allergies. I am not getting sick. I found out it was full/mainly VG after i bought it, it had no indication on the bottle/box. Also i wasnt a smoker before. My friends are also getting the sore throat from mine, another forum place i posted to said the iClear doesnt work well with VG. I'll just try different things.

Here's a quick crash course on "how to ecig":

If it taste bad there's something wrong! This can mean a number of things. Ecig liquid or eliquid as I like to call it has a very thick consistency.
PG and VG that make up the liquid also have different viscosity. VG tends to be a bit more thick than PG.

Difference between PG and VG.
VG can "taste better" but is too thick to vape alone in a wicking system. As a side note, VG gives better clouds.

**PG can have a "harshness" to it mostly in the throat. This is what "throat hit" refers to sometimes. Some people like this.

Make sure and get something around a 50/50 or a 70/30 either way you want to slice it. Just dont go full PG or VG until you know how to handle it.

All that being said you could be burning up your stuff and just getting some bad juju in your lungs. Who knows?

Hi Rocky,

Likely the liquid. Some liquids have a strong throat hit, are harsh, or cause itchy throat. Try out some others till you find one that agrees with you.

Just like when people start smoking - it's harsh till they get a little used to it. Same starts all over when you switch to vaping. Takes a bit of time to adjust. Since you haven't smoked before this, it's probably more even harsher still.

I don't care for harsh liquids either. Smoothest vapes I've run across have been The Plume Room's Lemon Chiffon Pie followed by SMAX Pony on Acid. Some of the Ahlusion Cakes (lemon, strawberry, blueberry) have been ok too, but didn't care for them as much.

I forgot one thing!

Since you said you were not formerly a smoker, how are you inhaling?

This may sound strange but if you're just straight inhaling, it can irritate your throat. Sometimes it will cause you to cough.

Try pulling the vapor into your mouth first like you would if you were drinking through a straw. Then inhale what's in your mouth.

I have to ask...does this strawberry e-liquid have nicotine in it??
If so, that's why you have a sore throat...nicotine will irritate your throat especially if your not used to it or have never smoked.
