I've been reading the posts about others having issues with the new diamond series batteries, so when I got my new Stealth battery, I was very careful when charging it and I only screw it into the charger until the lights blink. thats all the further on it goes...

The Stealth battery works amazing and lasts 4-5+ hours. I really haven't been able to fully discharge it yet! I've heard a lot of differing opinions, and this is my *first* XL battery, but I swear it lasts significantly longer than batteries that are powering an LED on every draw. Maybe even 5-10% longer?

The problem I am having is when I have been vaping on a standard battery the battery runs out, I swap the cartomizer to the XL Stealth battery, and I get no vapor....? This is the first time I have had to lift the post on either the cartomizer or the battery to make contact again and then it works fine until that cartomizer runs out. If I slide on a brand new cartomizer, it works great all the way until its dry on the stealth battery, but when I switch it to the standard batteries it doesn't work again...no vapor.

Is this something I can fix for good without fixing it over and over again?
What is your opinion?

I've gotten at least 8 of the new diamond batteries and a stealth without any issues. As far as the posts on batteries & cartos, it's just part of my daily routine now to check them. My favorite tool is a jumbo paperclip slightly bent to gently push up on the posts. Not screwing on the batteries until they won't go any more, just until they blink, has helped a lot. When switching cartos between battery types there just doesn't seem to be any other way than check the battery post, then check the carto post.

Old battery, new battery, diamond battery, auto or manual, WOW carto, cool carto, old carto, some other carto; just a lot of possible combos there. It's amazing to me that it works at all. lol

There is a center post it looks like a fat ring around the center hole. Take a pin, paperclip or whatever and gently and insert the tiniest bit you can in the hole and lift..go all around so that the post rises evenly.
The problem with the batts can be because of the new chargers (pushing the post down) or the cartos are pushing the batts post down..even the other way round. I swear some cartos just do not like some batts!
I have lucked out so far, a new and an old wall charger, new and old USB chargers, old and new batts and all types of cartos..all get along..so far!

How are you guys pulling up the center post on the batteries? (you know, in case I never need to..)

i use a push pin. just little pries on inside. i prefer tweaking the carto side first, do see if i can regain connectivity. i'd rather damage a carto than a battery, right?

but i have done both sides, and it doesn't take much prying. the center contact on either side appears to be on top of a rubber cushion. you can feel the difference between a bad carto and a fixed carto when you go to twist it on. with a bad carto, where the contacts don't meet right, you'll screw it on, and it will thread easily until it instantly stops dead. because you're out of threads. after the prying trick, when you screw it together, you'll feel the threads "snug up" with resistance to turning it. DON'T OVER TIGHTEN, or you'll just bury the center contact again and have to do the pry trick again next time around. can ya dig it?

Hey gowsgirl,

I just posted a very detailed video on this very subject on Sallyem's Sticky Fixing Cartomizer on the top of the main page.

After your questions from the other day tj1100cl about adjusting the posts I thought a video might be helpful. Look for your name in rolling credits.....you made it tj!

Along the same lines... my battery is not a stealth, but I ordered a new XL battery about 3 weeks ago. I love the XL's! However, as of today, the battery is not wanting to work. I have read this forum to see about "pulling up" the inside circle, but thats not the problem here. It will work sometimes, and it will just not come on sometimes (mostly not!) It makes no dif what carto is on it, etc... sometimes you push the button and it fires up and sometimes not. Any suggestions?? PLEASE!! This is the one I brought to work today! UGH!! Thanks!

Is the cart screwing on all the way? When the carto is screwed on all the way, there should not be space between the cart and the battery.
