Problem with my P16

My P16 seems to have suddenly stopped working. I put a new carto on, and it wouldn't fire, just got really hot when I hit the button. Assuming it was just a bad carto, I tried another with the same result. So then I put on the carto I had just been using all morning before deciding to switch flavors, and the same thing again.

I assume it's an issue with the brass pin in the atty connector not making contact with the carto for some reason, but it doesn't seem to move. Is this pin removable for cleaning? It's the only thing I can think of that may be wrong.

If it's getting really hot, it indicates a short. Basically three ways it can short: The atomizer center post got pushed up into the atomizer, there is a piece of metal debris down in the atomizer well shorting from the outter cap to the center post, or the battery (usually through worn plastic insultor wrapping on the battery or the bottom insulating oring is not in place).

The pin is not removeable. I recommend a toothbrush and dishsoap and hot water to clean down in there. If all else fails and you can't diagnose/fix it, i can take a look at it and get it back purring

Thanks for the quick response. I managed to get it working again. It seems the contacts on the box of Boge cartos I have is a bit looser than usual. Used a pair of small needle nose pliers to gently pull it out a bit, and all is good now. Gave the connector on my P16 a blast of pressurized steam for good measure too.
Thanks again for the great customer service. I'm working a 12 hour shift today, and I'd hate to have had to get a pack of analogs to make it through my shift.
