I suspect at this point it may not have anything to do with switch considering you've tried some remedies. The only other problem could be in the adapter itself. Either the center post height has moved not allowing proper atomizer contact or there is a small piece of metal debris left over from machining that got caught up when the center post was installed, thus causing a short between the center post and outer cap. I've had that happen a few times, so it is certainly a possibility.

I know it's an inconvenience, but why don't i take a look at your unit for you and then i can exchange it if need be. Since you are in Japan, i'll even reimburse you the shipping since its so expensive. Please ship to:

Super T
Box 331
Sauk Rapids, MN 56379

I sincerely apologize for the troubles,

David

Hi David,

That is a handsome offer! I'll take you up on it if you don't mind. No need to reimburse me for the shipping, since it's not your fault either.

I expect it's something trivial like you mentioned. I'm not using an adapter, just screwing the 510 atomizer straight in (and yes I've tried several different atomizers...). I did try silver grease on the threads like YKruss suggested, but it made no difference so I think something inside must be subtly out of whack. Unfortunately I'm not knowledgeable enough to figure out what!

I sure am glad I bought a Super T mod, though. This is the best customer service in the vaping world! Can I get an amen?!! :D

Here is a suggestion for anyone who is having problems with the Precise and is confident in the battery. Start with the weakest link in the chain of power. What is that? It's the contact in the switch system between the sliding button and the housing. Take the switch apart and check the cylinder and socket. Are they tarnished or dirty? Use Cape Cod polishing cloths for brass versions or just a cloth and some alcohol for the steel. Either way, make sure both parts of that switch are clean. Coat the inner part with a THIN application of the silver grease in the area where it slides through. Reassemble and go. These are the moving parts. Keeping them clean means better hits and longer part life. If you already did that, sorry.

Precise care and maintenance video. Super T devices are purely mechanical and, unlike totally sealed switches, are more exposed to the elements and thus need periodic cleaning. When your device starts to misfire, it's a good indicator it's time for a cleaning! With proper cleaning, one can extract years of service from their device. I forgot to mention in the video, but also clean the body and cap threads with rubbing alcohol! Also, don't be afraid to periodically wash your entire device, inside and out with dishsoap, a toothbrush and hot water:)

I thought I'd post an update to let everyone know my Precise is now working perfectly :vapor:

What was wrong with it? I do not know. I sent it back to David and he returned it to me in perfect working order, all for free! And all the way to Japan!

I'm in awe of the great customer service Super-T provides.

There is some bad news however...

While my Precise was away, I broke down and bought an el cheapo 6V vaping device which will not be named... the device kind of sucks but now I am used to 6V...

So I will probably end up buying another of David's PVs anyway!!! dammit.
