I've been vaping for about a week and a half. I started with 8mg tobacco prefilled carts that came with my 510t kit from The VaporPro. I also ordered 8mg eliquid from them when I purchased my kit, all 8 mg. No problems, but wanted more TH. So, I ordered 12mg eliquid from BB and the first (and only) time I used it, I got a slight headache from the first draw, and then was up the entire night with sweats and heart palpitations. I received it in the evening, so I only vaped it for an hour or two. I can't imagine that I vaped enough to OD on nicotine. Has anyone else experienced this with BB? Do you know if they add something else to their liquids that could cause this type of reaction? I loved the flavor - Bacco. So smooth. But, I'm afraid to use it.

This is very similar to my own experience. I've been vaping for approx 6 weeks. For the forst 3 I needed to repeatedly thin my juices to avoid OD effects. I wasn't systematic about it though - just poured in some pg and/or vg. For the next 3 weeks I was more systematic - knowing exactly the nic concentration.

If I vape 10 mg I'll eventually get palpitations and headache. With 8 mg I can vape as much as I want to. So it might be the slight diff in nic concentration and not the particular brand that's the cause.
I also use cartos, but have a cpl of attys for dripping high nic juice if I get unbearable nic craving.

Yes, I smoked about 3/4 of a pack a day of American Spirit Ultra Lights. I started with the 8mg since I was an ultra light smoker, but I looked up the nic content on the Am. Spirit website and it calculates to about 14mg. So, thought I could go up to 12mg. I know a lot of vapers start with 18 or 24, so I can't imagine the 12 would cause me to OD. I think there must be something else in their juice.

That might be true for you but that's not true for the average person vaping. Especially not true for a long term smoker that just started vaping.

I suppose it's possible that I got some juice on my skin when I was filling up the cart. I'm really careful about that, but you never know. Interesting Arbogast that you experienced it with the 10, but can vape like crazy with the 8mg. Similar to me. I can go non stop with the 8mg. Sometimes have to to try to satisfy the cig craving. So, maybe I need an 8mg juice with a really good TH. If anyone has any suggestions, please pass along.

Do you have food allergies? It's possible you have an allergy to something in the juice. Nuts maybe? I assume the prefilled cartos were all PG. Maybe you're having an issue to the VG in the BWB or an ingredient. I 'think' the BWB is 70pg/30vg. The nicotine dose is low but anything is possible I guess. When in doubt, I wouldn't use it. Not worth getting sick over a $15 bottle of juice.

I have some juice coming from Mister E (if it EVER gets here!!!), so I'll see if I have any reaction to the higher nic with their juice. If I don't, then I'll know it's something in the BB that doesn't agree with me. I may also stop at a Vaporessence store today to try theirs out. I'll let you know what I find out! Thanks for the replies!!

Upping the wattage that you are vaping at is the only real way.
That would require lower resistance or higher voltage.

You said you didn't have problems with the prefilled and I'm sure they were all PG. You do have a problem with BWB which is 80% pg. Why would you think it's an issue with PG.

The difference I see is the introduction of 20% VG and an increase in nicotine concentration.

You said you got an immediate reaction as soon as you vaped. That part to me, and I'm not a doctor sounds more like a reaction to an ingredient.

I've been happily vaping BWB Backo, Malty and 555-Exotic for a couple of weeks. The only problem I've had is putting my PV down; it just tastes too good.

Sorry to hear you are having problems. Maybe 12mg is too much for you. Maybe it's a coincidence and you should see a doctor. Nicotine only stays in your system for about an hour so I wouldn't think symptoms would last all night.

    Number of possible causes:
Adverse/ allergic reaction to PG or VG
    Allergy to the flavor
Nic too high but it doesn't sound likely
Chain Vaping or drawing too hard
Last but not least dehydration. I drink 2 glasses of water first thing in the a.m. and a total of 3+ liters for the day. Understand more than 4 cups of coffee can bring dehydration without Vaping. Understand the vapor comes from our bodies and not the juice and dehydration is a major complaint/ issues when many first start Vaping.
    Good Luck, Vapoor.

Whatever the cause, it's worth the trouble to sort it out. My 2 cents is to vape 100% pg at your desired nic level. If no problems add flavoring. Also try with 100% vg at your desired nic level, add flavoring if there's no reaction.

PG and nic seem to get the blame for most issues. I'm not convinced they're always the culprits. The extracts in the flavorings are potent. For some people there is an issue. Pre-filled cartos are typically all or near 100% PG. (except for V4L VG cartos).

The juices I've tried from BWB taste like they have Koolada (a flavoring that simulates a TH kick, cool without being menthol). Some people have issues with that flavor. Or maybe another of the flavors don't agree with you?

I'm happy to mix some flavorless juice for you. I don't have nic base in 100% VG, just PG. At 8% there would be just a tiny amount of PG in your all VG sample. Sheesh, if that makes sense. I understand the frustration of something being off and causing problems. The filler inside cartomizers give me issues. After two or three pulls I cough. My mouth and throat feel like there are particles of filler are stuck on them. So, I drip and love it. You'll get to the bottom of your issue with some experimenting and find your happy place. I hope you find it soon. PM me if you'd like some flavorless to test with.

Thank you Boodle. You could definitely be right, and it's a great idea to try each with no flavor first to see if I have a reaction to the PG or VG first!!! I hadn't thought of doing that. I'm going to the Vaporessence store today, so I'll see if they have any flavorless of each to try out. If not, I may definitely PM you!! Thanks so much!

Yes, but as swedishfish pointed out, this isn't true for the average person. On the other hand it seems like the nic concentrations people vape don't really seem to correlate consistently to how much they smoked.

    Just my 2 beginners cents
