Problem with Overready

Placed an order several days ago for some AW IMR 14500 batteries for my much-anticipated Reo mini purchase. Lighthound was out of stock on these, so I ordered from Overready, as I'd noticed both these companies named in the forums as good suppliers...

Paid for the order at the time I placed it and received a receipt from PayPal that payment was made to a Don Patnode (I assume he is the owner or one of the owners).

As of today, the order is still just sitting there with no action taken on it, according to their website. Checked their contact information and my only option was to send them an email via their site, which I did...asked for updated information about my order and/or if there was a problem with the order. To date, I have received no response from them....which worries me. Granted, it was only $20...but still hoping that I haven't been ripped off.

I am going to keep trying to follow up with them, but am wondering...has anyone else ever had a problem with this particular supplier?

Some suppliers like the surprise effect. You don't know where your order is at, then poof it is there!
Overready is good. I have ordered from them before and was happy. I don't know if you will get an answer on the weekend. But they will get back to you or your batteries will just show up!!!

Thanks Nerak, I'm hoping that is the case with them. According to their website, they're a 6-day per week operation and do work on the weekend, so I'm unsure of why I'm not getting any kind of response thus far, but hopefully the batteries will show up soon.

Will-do Jeni. Just wondering...does your order show up as having been processed on their site? If so, then I'm worried that there was some sort of problem with mine, although unless they respond to my contact-request, I have no idea what that might be. Still hoping for the best though.

Dan at oveready was awesome for me, i had the same issue. i paid and got no notice of anything, just paypal confirmation, i sent him an email and this is what i got in response

"Hi Kevin,

We were not able to do a Friday shipment run for your Thursday evening order.

We have done a special Saturday shipment run today and have placed your order into the system.

You can expect an updated order status and email with tracking before Monday.

Please let us know if we can help with anything else."

Mine shows "processing". It has the correct order date. I did receive an e-mail to confirm the order.

I remember using them and the batts got to me real quick. They might be out here in the west coast not sure. The last time I check it seemed their shipping cost were higher than most other vendors.

Ordered some batts and a charger from them recently, and one of the plug adaptors was on back-order. They emailed me and offered to send the batts and charger first with the adaptor to follow. It was a nice gesture since I'm half way round the world, and shipping for that extra adaptor would probably cost more than the adaptor itself.

Well, Oveready is out of 14500s, I received an e-mail this morning telling me my order was cancelled, and a refund of my paypal. I'll need to find them some place else. I am happy that I received the notice so quickly. So over all, I will consider it a good experience with Oveready, as far as not hanging on for weeks not knowing, or waiting for a refund. Hope you get yours soon ccclady!

I did order on a Thursday once and it didn't ship till Monday ..... but thats cool with me.

I get my AW IMRs from ECF supplier SuperTmanufacturing. You can get first class mail for an order under 36.00 for 1.35.

I prefer to support ECF suppliers whenever I can.

Thanks jp 1000, mudflap and Mvgratz for reminding me about RTD Vapor, I had checked them out when he opened and thought then that he would be a good resource, then forgotten about him. Just placed an order with him for my batteries. I have 6 AW14500s and 3 of them are not holding a charge like they used to. They aren't that old, the oldest I have were purchased in March. I do rotate all my batteries, not sure what is going on there.
