Problem with Vivi Mini Nova

Hello all.

I have several Mini Novas and I love them except for one big design flaw. Unlike its big brother the mini's center post is attached to a disc that is press-fit (?) into the bottom screw on cap. I have had almost every one of these discs pop out from the end cap and they can be pressed back in but I can't get them back in properly. Once I press them back in the post juts off an angle and ends up with the head pressing against the side of the tube. It still works ok though not nearly as well, and it leaks a lot more.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a good fix?

I have run into that if they get dropped. I use a couple of sockets to cover the posts, and squeeze them back together in a vise. Works pretty good.
