I cleaned out the port on the PCC (which wasn't dirty or anything so not sure why I bothered), lifted the charging port to look at the connecty wires which look perfectly fine so I tried charging with two other batteries and still, it only recognizes that something is hooked up to it if the battery is standing out of the PCC. I've been charging my batteries like this since last night, lol;

I take it this means I've gotta send it back, huh.

Once again proving that SI's customer service is awesome. I contacted them about the situation and they're sending me a replacement and told me I don't need to send back the faulty one. Which is especially convenient since, as of last night, my PCC won't recognize that there's a battery in it at all on top of the fact that despite having lived here for nearly a year now, I've never shipped any sort of package and am not confident in my ability to do so. Kind of ashamed of that fact but still. Love SI <3

Glad they got it worked out for you! I have three of these and haven't had a problem with any. And the problem you had with your's sure turned out to be unique. SI is pretty solid on backing their products. I imagine recurring problematic hardware is reported to the manufacturer for correction. Just like with the old and new clearos.
