i purchased atomizers and liquids for the first time over the internet. At one of the fellow members site. I am wondering what is wrong because I opened my new atomizers and everything I tried to vape burned my throat so I opened a second one thinking I just got a bad atomizer and now........Still burning my throat. I can't even use my Ego-C because the atomizers are killing my throat. I am going to make a special trip to the ecigg store so I can purchase some new ones. I wanted to sample the second pack of atomizers I got but I figured then I would have difficulty getting a refund for so I decided not too. Now I am having difficulties just trying to get a response from said company before my 30 days are up so I can send my items back for refund. Any idea why the atomizers would be causing me such trouble? Did I get a bad batch?

Thanks for any and all help.

Are you asking about something like these?
China_Ego_C_new_Ego_T_atomizer_Tank_cartridges_starter_kit201112291604183.jpg
Atty inserts into one end of atty body, plastic 'tank' with mouth piece inserts into the other end of atty body.

If so, the atty's have to be primed before use or they will burn, sometimes they have a primer fluid on them that tastes horrid and burns easily. You can try cleaning them by soaking in PGA then a very light dry burn.

IMO, very close to the most fiddley worst performing delivery device available, but some folks like them.

Yes thats the kind I have. Is this outdated?

IMO, yes very.
But, if you like the way they perform and are opposed to change by all means keep using them.

The heads have a disk of wicking material inside them, you can prime them by dripping 2-4 drops through each slot on the sides and 1 down the center tube, let it sit a while then blow the excess out from the battery end.
Or, after you fill the plastic 'tank' and assemble the head to base and base to body and tank to body before you install it on the battery let it sit battery end down for at least 30 minutes to overnight.

There are much better delivery devises (toppers, juice holders) available that can be used on your battery.

do they have joyetech writing on them? If they don't they are cheap chinese knockoffs. And they are awfull, some are good, but most of them is unvapable. I had trouble getting authentic ones myself, so I decidet to upgrade the chinese ;-)
What I do is: I took the tip of, remove the silica (if this is silica?) and I put the cotton from the cotton ball (look for some organic in local store/pharmacy) instead, size approximately the same as wick you removed. With most of them the flavor is 10x better, and you can even chain wape (4 to 5 strong straws before burnt taste, then gave it few minutes to gather the liquid again). After it start to taste strange I open them again and replace the cotton wick. On some this won't help and you will need to change also the wick which goes trough the coil, but this is little complicated, and if you do that you must be carefull that you don't vape while is dry because it would burn it after just 2 or 3 vapes.

I hope this will help you.

I started with an ego-c.
I used to rinse them by putting them into the tube and forcing hot water through. Blow through the tube to remove excess water then remove from the tube to dry and prime like Topwater Elvis described.
Give a $5 CE5 a try. Though they're not as sturdy or pretty, they perform better, leak less, and give an overall better vaping experience IMO.
