Hello everyone this is my first posting and I just want to know that the problem is with my Efest IMR 18350 3.7V 800 mAh batteries. I got a Vamo about a month ago and have had no problems with it until a few days ago when one of the batteries simply stopped working. I charged it and the light on the wall charger I use that came with the kit was green, meaning it was fully charged. I put it in my Vamo and after a few hits it turned off. The battery display on the little screen was full and all of a sudden it just shut off and I couldnt turn it back on. Thankfully I have another battery that I use interchangeably but the same exact thing happened to it yesterday. I plug them in to charge and it says that they are fully charged but they do not work at all. I keep my Vamo at a low voltage and havent changed anything at all so I cannot figure out what the problem is. Im considering buying new batteries but I dont want this to happen again. Thanks and any advice will help!

Cells arent old at all, I got them the same time I got the Vamo. I didnt notice any change in the state of the batteries and I made sure to alternate them and rarely used both at the same time.

Yeah, but you are using eFest - which aren't exactly top quality batteries - with what sounds like a cheap kit charger. In this case the last thing I would be concerned with or blaming is the VAMO.

You need a basic meter to check a few things. Without it you are just guessing.

A lot of those single battery chargers are junk and charge batteries over voltage. If yours is doing that then it would have prematurely killed the batteries. The only way to know that is to check the battery voltage with a meter - not what the VAMO says. When a VAMO says "4.2" for voltage that might be 4.2 volts - or maybe 4.29 volts - it's not precise enough to know what your charger is doing.

Or it's just a case of your eFest being what they are - a lot of times they are junk batteries with short life spans. The only time I tried eFest 18350's they started going down hill in a matter of a few weeks with shorter run times. Overall, they lasted about 5 months and then they were useless.

Lastly, a green status LED on a cheap charger doesn't necessarily mean a battery is fully charged - it can also mean it's seeing the battery as defective and refusing to charge it at all.

I see. The charger did come with the kit and it looks pretty flimsy to be honest. Should I invest in a new charger and new better performing batteries? if so, which ones would be the best for my Vamo V6?

One of the best 18350 batteries out there is the AW 18350 from RTD Vapor.

If you are looking for a decent charger for not much money, get yourself a Nitecore i2 for about $12.

If you want a better quality charger, RTD (same link above) has some 2 bay Xtar chargers for around $20.

Thanks a ton, I'll definitely look in to them. I really dont want this to happen again lol.
