Today I got 2 error messages on my MVP 2.0
One was the one in the picture and the other was 888.
When I put on my iclear30 on it, it read ohm0.0 and when I pressed the fire button it would stay green for like 15 sec.
And sometimes I got it to work right and it worked for like 15 min or so, but then it got messed up again.
Also time to time the ohms would even read form 0.4 to like 5.7 when I checked the ohm on the iclear30.

Any input? What should I do? I bought this from eBay, should I contact the seller?

Never had that prob on my MVP 2 but found this:
"I just stumbled upon this thread after having the same type of issues with a few iclear30. At first I thought like everybody that I wasn't making contact. My ohm reading on my MVP2 or VV3 were displaying "non" or "A 0.0". Pushed the pin out, re-screwed, cleaned the contacts etc...nothing worked.

I found the culprit, well in my case. Since it was always after a refilling, I decided to remove the rubber cap on top of the coils to look at them. The top coil seemed like it wasn't straight and might even touch the side of the chimney. I took a tweezer and re-centered the top coil. Replaced back the rubber cap. While screwing back top part with the drip tip, I noticed that if you screw it too tight, the rubber cap, coils and chimney start turning. My theory is that this moves the coils and the MVP 2.0 short protection prevent the tank from firing. So I just screwed it back snug but not tight and everything works perfect as before."

The error you are describing on your MVP means that you have a short on your iClear 30! You need to take off the tank, unscrew the top cap of the tank, and remove the silicone cap that rests on the coils and wicks. Inspect your coils and be sure that they are not touching any metal on the sides of the tube that the coils and wicks rest in. Take a needle, or a pin and fiddle with the coil a bit to work out any shorts. Hope this helps!

Might not be entirely relevant, but I think there are some inconsistencies with the manufacturing of the connection heads on the mvp 2.

When my new one came, nearly every single one of my evods (ego threading) registered a short (0.0 led display), even if they showed 2.0 on my ohm meter. Used a ego-510 connection adaptor on my evods, and they worked fine on the mvp v2. Some things you wanna check:

1) make sure that whatever coils you're using arent shorting out to begin with. Check it with a ohm meter if you have one. If not, visual inspection to make sure the coils aren't wriggling around and touching the sides or each other.

2) check to make sure the rubber/silicon insulators aren't burnt through. Also make sure that if you're recoiling yourself, excess coils are cut off as much as possible.

3) wriggle your tanks around when it's on the mvp, and keep checking the ohms. If it changes from a short to a proper ohm reading and back and forth while you're wriggling it, well, you have a bad connection.

Good luck with your new mvp tho. I absolutely love it and even if the battery croaks, I'm just gonna leave it at my desk as a pure pass through vape. :D that or as a plugged in ohm meter if my current one dies.

That's what it sounds like to me too. Awhile ago we had a rash of smokemizer clearos shorting out batteries.

You can buy a cheap multimeter for about $6 to double check.
