You dont have to use a screw driver, just hold the part firmly and take some pliers and gently around the part under the bottom of ceramic housing and gently turn it counter clockwise and the whole thing should come apart. Just dont use ultra strong pliers so you dont damage the "teeth" Thats how I take mine apart and tighten them, more control than using a screwdriver.

gennys can be easier to set up, but if you set up ody the right way its far better than any genny in my opinion. most people use ss mesh in gennys and i was told that mesh has not been approved for vaping so we dont know if its safe or not. stick with your ody and get your wick from cov or guru(its approved for vaping) and you know you have a SAFE hard hitting setup.

AFAIK the paranoia about mesh is that it may cause metal poisoning in the long run. But then again, to get to that stage is a pretty long haul and you either need the metal to dissolve into the juice or literally vaporize the metal as in the case of aluminium.

So yeah... to each his own until proven otherwise.

What do you mean by approved for vaping? As in approved by some professor or FDA or something like that? I am not bashing or anything, I use both gennys and Ody style rebuildables, read enough to know that both wicks and genny SS mesh has got pros and cons. If any product has been "approved" so to speak, would be refreshing to know.
