Might be stuck with juice, probably from non-use and it sort became like glue. I would suggest soaking in hot boiling water, just make sure you remove any o-rings or other plastics for a while or use some efferdent or other dental cleaner to really dissolve the juice. If this doesnt work only thing I can think of is maybe somehow they tried to tighten things up and maybe they crimped the ceramic housing?

Must be something going around. I have the ceramic stuck on another of my atomizers. Hmmmm talk about practising what you preach, I haven't done that.

This happened to one of my Penelopes. I put the ceramic and housing into an ultrasonic cleaner with some hot water ... a couple of three-minute cycles, and the ceramic slid right out while it was still in the bath! YMMV. :)

lol I actually just ordered an ultrasonic cleaner yesterday. It should be here wednesday. If it's still stuck by the time it comes in, it's definitely taking a ride in the ultrasonic ;)

Got it out! I broke it, but it's out lol. Good thing I just got some spares from CoV

Thanks for the help everyone. Hopefully these tips will help others searching in the future.

LOL ... the operation was a success, but the patient died, eh, Doc? LOL! Congratulations on a successful application of the "nine-pound sledge" correction method ... :toast:

I have seen references to the ultrasonic cleaner in other threads. . . what pieces can be put in the cleaner? Can someone elaborate on the process of cleaning using the ultrasonic cleaner and also recommend one?

I haven't looked too much into using one, but thinking you should be able to put just about any GG part in there. I'm going to start with just distilled water, and see how it works. Hoping it will give a nice deep cleaning on the threads. Trying to clean them with a towel or qtip always leaves fibers behind. Maybe I'll create a thread with results and more info, once I get it in, and try it out.

Typically anything non electrical is fine. I use mostly just hot water although I have been known to use either alcahol (vodka) or soap and water. I clean most everything in mine from my glasses and jewelry to my gg stuff. Typically I fill with hot water and break my gg down all the way minus taking the button appart and the plastics out of the bottom cap and connector cap. Run it through a few cycles dry and assemble. I normally even run my coils through it every couple days but I typically rinse them off to get as much juice off od them as possible first. If my button stars getting hot or having firing issues I will take it apart as well.

I use this cleaner. Seems to work ok.
