Problems with Smoktech 2.5ohm XL Dual Coil Cartomiser

Hi everyone,

I had bought two Smoktech 2.5ohm XL Dual Coil Cartomiser, one slotted for tank and the other one without slotted. I had tried both of them but sadly, I am not getting a decent TH out from them. The vapour produces is not warm and there isn't much of the flavor as compared to boge 510 Cartomiser. I used them with my provari.

I would like to know if anyone out there have the same problem too.

Are you expecting the vape to be warm. 2 5ohm coils is going to give a very cool vape

I have been using a safe vaping power chart and currently I am using my boge 510 Cartomiser 3.0ohm at 4.8-5.0v setting.
The first time I used boge 510 Cartomiser 2.0ohm at 5.0v, I had a burnt taste. Can't use anymore and basically I had to throw away. After doing some research, I realised that the amps should not be more than 2.0 or else there is a risk of burning out.

For the 2.5ohm XL Dual Coil, I think I will give it a try at around 5.5-6v.

Yeah I didn't care for these at all myself, but I had chalked it up to a bum pack of cartos because I have otherwise heard nothing but solid reviews for them .... and I am with you, my Boge's were far and away better b4 I tried the Smok Tech.

I had no almost no vapor production, and of course that would also mean no TH ... maybe we were just unlucky.

No vapour production.. That's sound very bad. I had just tried 5.5-6v on 2.5ohm XL Dual Coil. I am getting a mild TH but not to sure it will shorten the lifespan of the Dual Coil. At that voltage, that Dual Coil gets very hot, I mean very very hot with only 2 or 3 puffs.
Don't think I will try it with my tank.

The smoketechs are very hit and miss. I get some that look like they are built okay, but then i put juice in them and its terrible. Other times they work fine. I'm currently trying out some boges for the first time because i was sick of smoketech's quality issues

Personally, I would prefer boges.. and also I like the gargling sound
Forgot to mention that I am having a mild leaking issue with that Dual Coil if you slightly overfill it.
With the tank is even worst. It just keep dripping.. Maybe the slotted is too big or it could be too much PG.
Haha.. Anyway, I am not too sure what I am going to do with another 2 Dual Coils I had ordered that came with the vape-o-matic tanks.
