Guys
the prodigy in all its greatness just gave up on me.
I know the atty's work because i also have a passthrough.

The prodigy will not fire up the attys.
Tried everything.

Cleaned the whole system with a toothbrush.

The only thing i can think of is that the battery charger shows green but the batteries are flat.

any other ideas?

Have you tried bending the prongs up on you charger? If not, carefully bend them up so the batteries fit tight. Declining performance on my prodigy was my batteries. The light was green but after I got a tight fit on the batteries, the light turned red and they charged.

Really careful bending the prongs as I broke mine and had to get a new charger. The new charger I got from Tenergy has much heavier prongs and I dont have to bend them as the batteries fit in real tight must be the "new improved charger" :).

Also, have you read the "Prodigy Problems" thread. There is lots of good info there too, check it out:

It is frustrating but you will figure it out! Good luck

Battery Junction sells the same one prodigy sent me.
It's cheap and works badly. $1.75 in the Shenzhen mall in China.

I need something solid, expensive that works.

I need to find some battery specialists.
What's the point of having a great machine like the prodigy and crap accessories?????

Grrrr!!!
Good Luck to you!!:)The Wiz!

The only charger out there is the TENERGY.
can't find another alternative.

I bought a new Tenergy charger that came with 2 batts. This charger is much sturdier than the one that came with my Prodigy. The battery prongs on the negative end are solid and dont bend down. Was really surprised that it was not the same as my first one, but a pleasant surprise. PM if you want more info.

I bought the same from Tenergy with 6 batteries that I used for mod making, before getting the Prodigy. So when it came time to order the Prodigy I just got the 801 base. Negative terminals are very sturdy and has been going strong for over a month now. You can buy the charger alone or in a special package deal they have.

LiFePO4 Rechargeable Cell: CR123 Battery 3.0V 450mAh (1.35Wh) (1PC) - LFP-RCR123A

The case of the charger seems obviously the same as Tenergy, but that doesn't mean it's made the same - I haven't had any problems with it at all.

Why would you want to drop to a 450mAh battery? How long do they last? You can get a 900mAh tenergy battery.

I noticed poor performance on my Prodigy over the past week, then it would intermittently not work at all sometimes. I tried new batteries, atomizers, nothing seemed to work well.
Knowing that brass tarnishes, I went to Walmart and purchased a tube of MAAS metal polishing cream. I used a Q-Tip to apply and wipe off all of the brass contacts. I was amazed on the amount of black tarnish that came off of the contacts. I mean, it was a lot! Now my contacts are bright and shiny. My Prodigy is only about a month old. The performance is up to par again... love my Prodigy.
No doubt basic maintenance is needed for a smooth running vaporizer.
