So this is my second day using the prodigy with the 901 and I've love it until about two hours ago!!! I started getting little vapor so I changed the batteries thinking they were about to die. Once I popped fully charged batteries in I got nothing. So I started tinkering, I unscrewed the back made sure they were in right and made sure everything was tightened. Still nothing, well I figured then maybe I fried an atomizer. Luckly, I bought a spare one with my purchase so I went ahead and changed them out, put a few drops in and NOTHING. So anyone know how I can tell what's wrong?

Update

Just tried tapping the contact point on the adapter down a bit and that didn't do anything either.

Lossen everything up a bit, or, unscrew the adapter some and wiggle the button. Could be a connection prob. Are you flooding the atty? 2-3 drops is all you need. Also pull the tip off, hit your switch and look inside, if you don't see the atty glowing blow your atty out and let it drain overnight. It is possible your atty is fried, mine blew in about 4 days. Contact Puresmoker and they will make everything ok. Great peeps. Casey is the best!!!!! and purdy too.

I shot them an email and I actually got it working finally. The only problem is I can't tell you what was wrong. I was just unscrewing, rescrewing, shaking, fiddling, stomping, smashing (ok maybe not stoming or smashing), but it started working again with my second atty the first one is fried it wont do anything. Thanks for the reply.

Hey Kloc,

When it comes down to it, the Prodigy is all about the assembly. I can't tell you how many times I've been testing them and I can't get one to work, I bring it into Steve- he loosens the adapter 1/2 turn, and the thing just fires up. Sometimes you just need to loosen the adapter and the atty and everything falls into place!

comes down to the batteries actually ....

The End cap with spring have to hit the RCR batteries perfect. Reason being, the tube was built to handle both an 18650 and RCR's ... 18650's are wider in OD, therefore, a larger tube was needed.

If it ever doesn't fire, unscrew the end cap, and rescrew on, making sure the spring end is touch the bottom of the battery :)

Anyone who made one of madog's Magnum mods uses a piece of thick-walled PVC to take up the space in a palm-sized flashlight tube so the batteries are aligned properly. Any possibility someone might try to find an insert for the Prodigy to make up for the additional tube diameter if this is the primary problem? Could be anything non-conductive like the core of a rolled paper product, thin-walled plastic tube, etc.
