Neither here nor there
Hi all,
My Prodigy switch has lost something, I think. The button now goes into it's little nook, beyond the place it used to stop. I can press it in further than I could before, and the connection seems to be less than optimal. Was there a spacer piece in there? Can I rig something up to fix it?

No spacer in mine and mine recesses a bit into the little nook.
If the switch is soldered tight onto the connecting cylinder I think this is normal.
I recently soldered a new switch on my Protege and I noticed it now doesn't recess at all. It stops just before the nook. I actually prefer it that way.

Does it still consistently fire/heat up?

That's a great option with the Prodigy. You can buy a whole new switch assembly.
I have the resistored and the unresistored and they both recess into the nook.

Not a problem as they both consistently fire.

If you unscrew the atty connector and pull the button up to inspect it, it's a relatively simple design.
You could probably insert a small plastic disc of some sort between the plastic button and the actual switch.

You might want to get Steve's opinion before hand in case it's a warranty issue.

Good luck.
