Prodigy V3 or Buzz???

I am trying to decide between these two wonderful PV's right now. Currently I have been vaping with my eGo and have been satisfied with LR atty's and drip-tips, but I am now ready to take it to the next level. Since I currently use an eGo, either device will be purchased with 510 connections so I can continue using my equipment I already have.

I really like the idea of VV with the Buzz. I like the fact that I can change voltage on the fly without having to change batteries. I know either device would probably work for me, so either one I chose I will more than likely be happy with. I already have quite a few protected 3.7V RCR123's and the required charger, but if I went with the prodigy I'd have to get new batteries and charger. With that being said, I REALLY love the looks of the V3, much more so than the Buzz. The Buzz doesn't look bad, it's just the fact that the V3 looks amazing to me. Another bonus for the Buzz is the blemished models that are avaliable right now. I'd go that route if I go with the Buzz for sure.

I'm just looking for opinions on which model you all like better. A list of pro's and con's would be nice as well. I'm trying to think this through before I click the "purchase" button lol. I have looked at all the other high voltage battery mods out there, and I have narrowed it down to these two.

about your question - i think the buzz is much better, but also much uglyer.. so.. it is really up to that..

Thanks for the advice! If I was strictly looking for a 3.7V device, I would go with the ICON without a doubt. I think it's gorgeous to look at, and a perfect size to carry around all day. My problem is I want the option of having at least 6V on tap for if and when I want it. I really love the looks of the Prodigy, but I like the ease of voltage switching and one set of batteries with the Buzz. I wish I had the money to buy both!

It depends on what you really want, if you can do without the VV I'd go with a prodigy as it's not only a really nice looking pv it's also all mechanical so it'll outlast a buzz. If you must have VV the Buzz is the best out atm but it naturally has electronics and a switch that can fail over time.

I recommend the V3. I own the Protege, the ICON and the V3 and they are all flawless. These are all purely mechanical in design and should last a lifetime with minimal maintenance. The beauty of the V3 is you can run it at 3.7 if you want but with a standard cartomizer or a high resistance atomizer you will really enjoy it at 6v.

This is all very subjective but I think you best bet in the PS V3.

I totally agree, mechanical mods are the way to go. You can get 5v batteries, or a regulator to go down to 5v if you buy the Prodigy, and you can use it at 3.7v too. Personally i have GG mods as i think they are hands down the best, but they are costly.

Where can I get 5V batteries? Also interested in the regulator for the Prodigy to bring it down to 5V, is it a complicated install, and where can it be purchased?

I think electronicstix sell 5v batteries still, you can either get the 'regulator' for 6v mods to bring them down to 5v from Nhaler, or you can buy the 'terminator' from notcigs to control the voltage from 6v down to whatever you want, it literally fits between the mod and atomizer, there is no installation required. Lots of options !

Any Buzz fans out there??? I'm gonna wait this out another hour or two, as of right now I'm not 100% decided on the V3. I really like it, but it's gonna cost me about $50 more than the Buzz adding up the extra's I will get with it. The blemished Buzz is a really good deal right now, and the $$ factor has me leaning that way a bit. Not to mention being able to use ANY voltage I'd want between 3.6-6.4V.

I'd like to hear from some fellow Buzz owners before I pull the trigger. I'm concerned with the reliability standpoint, so I'd love to hear how your Buzz has been excellent for 6+ months....

There are more than a few high end PVs in my aresenal. I've tried all voltages and all atty/cartos out there. Each atty/carto and juice will have that certain sweet spot. Lr and HV atties have a short life span...period.. I thoroughly research any PV I buy... What's got batteries while the others gather dust you ask...What will allow the use of a regular resistance atty/carto and give maximum performance out of them... It ain't no Prodigy... Brother... I'm loyal to the BUZZ ARMY... I read and read because I wanted someone to say the electrics would go out...They didn't say that...Also the service is outstanding..I've dealt with a few suppliers and will not hesitate to give NotCigs a 10 of 10. I just talked with Mike a bit about a matter unrelated to the Buzz and he once again was very concerned about my issue. My Buzz has had no issues. I find the 4.5 neighborhood to blast vapor, give excellent taste and most importantly...long carto/atty life....I've seen my share of PVs sitting where the BUZZ is tonight and whomever thinks it's short on looks...well glasses Brother glasses..I'm telling you it lacks in no department...none. Brother buy yourself a BUZZ...You get anything else you're gonna regret not having purchased the BUZZ...You know that's true..I'm back...had to let the vapor clear out...Man I've nothing to gain either way. Like I said by the BUZZ now or regret it and buy it later. I wish I'd bought it first...but it wasn't around then..It is now...now get your BUZZ on...

Right on Brother! While I've been waiting for more responses I've been searching and reading in here. I'm now leaning towards the Buzz. A big plus is that I can get it for a lot less $$ with the blemished versions avaliable! Keep the Buzz love coming...

Since I got my first Buzz I won't vape with anything but VV. Fixed voltage mods to me are too restricting and you can't get the most out of your juice or whatever carto or atty your using. There is vaping just to put vapor in your body and there's the ultimate in vaping where you can adjust it to the sweet spot.
PS Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't see nothing ugly about the Buzz. But even if I did I'm more concerned about my vaping enjoyment than I am feeding my ego.

Besides the variable voltage kicking all the other mods to the curb{that's a biggie} it's hard anodized and requires nothing but a wipe to keep her looking good. Ever polished an aluminum PV{it ain't fun} just to have it looking like heck in a few days.? Nice end caps with knurling for easy removal. Brother I hate adapters and I change my cap if I wanna go with the 901...and that's super easy as well. With the colors available I rate the BUZZ at the top of the heap as far as beauty goes too. Mine's black and BEAUTIFUL. It's even light weight and slim. Not too long either. Pocket friendly as well, it's never fired once in my pocket. It's rode the ATV, motorcycle and boat and never once fired while in my pocket....and the button is placed just right and triggers effortlessy. One day with me is like 3 with a normal vaper...I'm past .... about my stuff and if I wasn't pleased I wouldn't mind letting you know. I wanted the best and I've got it...Like I said earlier Brother you want it...don't wish you got it..Get it and you can thank me later....

I've had a Buzz for 4 months and no problems at all. There is a huge difference in the taste of the juice I use between say 4.2v and 5v. Great service also.

Just buy the v3 now and when you get the money buy the Terminator which will make the Prodigy V3 variable voltage.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I went ahead and ordered the Buzz. I know I could have been happy with the V3 as well, but the Buzz was cheaper and I like what I've heard about it.

This has become a new hobby for me, and I'm totally obsessed with it. So all you V3 lovers out there, no worries. I will probably pick one of them up down the road. If not, I might look at the ICON for a smaller PV. Thanks for all the help!! Can't wait for my Buzz to arrive!

Buzz hands down...

I don't have one but I have a VV mod and there is no contest. Fixed voltage is like having a car that only makes right turns.
