Well the good news is that there is now a new version of the Prodigy, the V2.1, which is supposed to fix some of the problems with the earlier model.
It looks like they have addressed this switch problem and the new PV will
have a different switch.
More, if you own a V2 and are cursed with the switch problem, you can
order the new switch witch is retrofit to the older models.
The other issue I have with the Prodigy is that there is no tolerance for
any slight fluctuation in the battery size.
I have bougth the exact same Tenery replacement batts, the very same
they sell the kit with, but the batts are about 1mm too wide!!
To get them to fit, I had to remove the plastic wrapping on the batts.
Now they slide in okay, but with no room to spare.
Since RCR123A batts do very in size maybe by 1/2 or 1mm they should
make future units a bit wider to accept this variation.
It's a damn tight fit in that batt tube
If they could just widen the inside of the batt tube by a mere 1mm, that
would do it.
I just ordered a new switch for my V2 as they are now up on their website
for sale, but expect 3 weeks for delivery.
The Prodigy V2 is still my main PV, so I am excited that they have the switch problem fixed
