If you bought a car drove it for a for a few months. Then bring it back to the dealership saying HAY I WANT THE NEW 1. You guys jipped me on the older model cuz its not perfect. The Model T was FAR FAR from perfect. But people bought it anyway. The world revolves around progression. Progression cost $$$.

Not a valid comparison. This is a different situation. What happened here is that the V2 came out, people had problems with it, PS fixed the problems and now the early adopters are having to pay full price to get the fixes (except for the switch "patch.")

From what I understand, the only differences are as follows:

V2 (as ordered today):
Button/switch: Black plastic button/housing, stainless steel contact posts inside the switch

Adapter: Stainless/brass
V2.1:
Button/switch: Stainless steel button/housing, stainless steel contact posts inside the switch

Adapter: All stainless, slightly modified form factor. (I believe the well will be more shallow.)

Will be more expensive because of the completely stainless button/housing and adapter.
But you can purchase the switch with the stainless steel button/housing separately for your V2.

So, as a current V2 owner, what I will most likely do is this:

Order the stainless button/housing in a few weeks.

If I also decide I really want one, I'll order the new all stainless adapter. But I'm perfectly happy with my current stainless/brass adapter right now.

Then I'll practically have a Prodigy V2.1. I'll just have bought the upgraded parts separately. And I will have had over two months of enjoying my V2 in the mean time.

You forgot the V2.1 was going to be bored out slightly to accept a 17670 battery for 3.7v vaping. Unless that has changed, and I missed it.

I dont think there is any product that is perfect right off the assembly line.

I didn't say that I thought it should be perfect.

Don't get defensive, people. I'm not slamming PS. I just think it would be good customer relations to offer people who just bought V2s a discount on the "bug fix" hardware.

with the exception of the switches... what other problems are we having..

Mines still running on the first switch that came with it...

I agree there's some machining inconsistencies. If it was me I'd walk in with a caliper and a mic everytime I went to pick up hardware. That'd tighten things up..

I'm not bashing either. Everyone knows I'm a PS guy but they do have a few more BETA bugs than they should and Steve knows that and wants to make them perfect everytime. Imagine how it is on his end...

Sorry, didnt mean for that to sound harsh. I think they're doing great with the free upgrades to the switches.

Now if only the V2.1 would open up for preorder...XD

Johnny - Do you know this for fact? Has Steve or anyone at PS confirmed that they'll be bored to fit protected 17670's?

Takes (2) RCR123 batteries and the V2.1 will also be able to take (1) 17670 Unprotected battery.

That was written by Steve in the Prodigy evolution thread on the pure-smokers forum.

Brass center adapters where the brass separates from the SS sleeve and with threads that strip easily.

Yep... forgot about that one..

Still think it's back to checking the machine work. QC is the name of the game when your subbing out work.

I never had a problem with either one of my adapters but I have seen where people have.
And... I had a problem with an original Prodigy V1 adapter... Long since been taken care of...

This new v2.1 device def sounds intriguing to me.
Even as a current v2 owner.

I'm even MORE curious tho about the 801 'New' Adaptor for the v2.1! >_>

If it has been modified to fit the Joye tech 302/304 style atty & if its compatible to fit on the old battery casing for the v2.....
I think ima HAVE to buy that thing if that is the case!~

Wouldnt hurt to have TWO v2 versions laying around none neither.
