While I wasn't bothered by my ProTanks' airy draw, I was interested in the Smotek tank Airflow Controller as it promised to afford even further fine-grained control for my mod. As airy or as tight as I'd like at a moment's notice. What was not to love, especially at such a low price? I saw the device recommended in ECF threads and placed an order immediately. Here's the trouble: Once you screw a ProTank into this, the base is never coming off. I cannot for the life of me, remove this rotten thing from my ProTank base, despite making sure I didn't secure it too tightly due to the lack of scoring on the metal. No matter. This thing is on there for good, and even with pliers I have had no luck (other than scratching the .... out of the stupid thing). This wouldn't be the end of the world for that ProTank base if the product worked well. I'd be happy leaving it there forever. But no, although the airflow controller produces a tight draw and should allow for adjustment as desired, I can no longer adjust it, and at its tightest setting where it is stuck it causes juice to draw up through the drip tip on every drag. So I'm stuck with this turd pulling liquid into my mouth with every drag now. I already ordered a replacement ProTank base but be warned: This thing is utterly infuriating garbage. Stay well away.

So........Here is what you did, and don't feel bad many a tank user has done this and not figured it out.

You secured the Protank..not to tight, but secure. Next you started experimenting to see how well the controller worked.

Then came the trouble. You tightened the flow controller to the point the post locked against the pin.
While fighting to get the Protank loose, you are actually getting it stuck tighter, like a Chinese Finger Trap.:D

You need to use the pliers to back the Flow controller apart so the lower part moves away from the Tank. Then things should come apart......If the threads haven't been damaged.;)
