plain white background, blue headers - no picture in background

ok . option 1

To resolve this problem follow these steps :
•1. Go to the "Control Panel" :
•Click on "Option accessibility"
•2. In the dialog box "Option accessibility" :
•Click on the tab "View"
•3. In the "View" tab :
•Uncheck the "Use high contrast"



Then click on "Apply" wait a moment while changes are being .
Open your browser, the bottom of your web pages should have regained its colors

lol, ralphie - i found the control panel, not the solution, where lis wanted me to uncheck high contrast but it was unchecked already

......... :( Hmmm. Both browsers... That eliminates a cache problem..... still thinking.... this could be a tough one. Do you have java installed? Control Panel, Make sure its in Classic View and not Category View. Do you see a Java icon? If so, open it, click on the About button and report back the version.

If it is anything other than Version 6 Update 24, go to java.com: Java + You and get the latest.

version 6, update 24 - i make sure i install those updates promptly when they come in ......

this might help - i tried an image background on my profile. it really looked good, i clicked out of my profile to check some threads and when i went back to my profile it had reverted back to white - all this was yesterday

control f5 - no change

did you restart your browswer,

there is another option under forum option/general settings
