I'm coming up on 8 weeks of no analogs, and have been trying to stay aware of what changes are taking place. So far:

1. Weight - has remained the same
2. Blood pressure - before quitting cigs, it had been a little high, around 130/90. Today I checked 3 times and it was anywhere from 118/81 to 124/78.
3. Sleep - I had some trouble getting to sleep the first week or two, but have learned to dial back my nicotine levels in the evening. Now I'm sleeping much better overall.
4. Migraines - I have had migraine headaches for the past 7 years. They had been better the past year or so (less frequent and less intense) due to some techniques I've used to manage them. But I haven't had one at all since I started vaping - this is notable since I can't remember a time in the past 6-7 years that I went more than a couple of weeks without one. I am cautiously optimistic, but if this keeps up, I will be ecstatic.
5. sense of smell and taste - these started coming back within a couple of weeks, and have recovered amazingly well. It's an odd sensation to be able to smell the coffee brewing from upstairs with the bedroom door closed.
6. Energy - I feel like I have a lot more energy lately. I've had to do a bunch of snow shoveling, and didn't get nearly as tired out as I used to. I had been in the habit of taking a nap after work, and I don't need one anymore. I used to get tired in the middle of the day at work, and that doesn't seem to be happening anymore. I have started walking up the stairs to my office a few times a week - I'm on the 9th floor, so it's a pretty good hike.
7. Dryness - I still get some dryness in my throat overnight if I don't drink some water before bedtime. But the dry winter air probably isn't helping much, either. Nothing that can't be managed easily.
8. Cravings for an analog - after the first couple of weeks, these have disappeared completely. And now when I smell one, I can't imagine wanting to light one up.
9. Cough and congestion - I had developed a cough and congestion over the past year after they mandated FSC's here. These disappeared within the first few days of vaping exclusively.

All in all, I couldn't be more pleased - I still am in shock at how easy it has been.

wow, pianoguy!! this is really inspiring to read, and i'd like to save that post, if you don't mind? there's another that was made that i want my dr. to see when i go for checkups soon.

about how long into no analogs (i've quit 4 days ago and not had a single one, or even craved one) does the 'coughing up everything under the sun' happen? i can't remember, myself.. but i know all that junk has to come out of the lungs.

again, WONDERFUL for you!

Thanks very much - be my guest! I haven't really had much in the way of coughing up junk, which kind of surprised me. Maybe the fact that the vast majority of my smoking for the past 20+ years has been done outdoors has something to do with it. I can take deep breaths now with no problem at all.

Im about to go into my 3rd month of no analogs. I dropped mine immediately when my v4l came in and haven't needed them since.
What is amazing me is how I smell ciggs now and never did in the past. I was walking through a park the other day and some teens were hanging around a tree there. As I walked past them about 15 feet away I could smell the ciggs they were hiding behind their backs from me. Today I came out of a store and could smell a cigg that someone was smoking in a car somewhere in the parking lot. I couldn't tell where. I never realized how much my ciggs may have bothered people in the past when I smoked. I apologize to anyone I offended in the past with that nasty habit.

My morning coughing ceased almost immediately
I have more energy
My sense of smell has come back
