It would seem most vapers self identify as either mouth-to-lung(MTL) or straight-to-lung(STL) vapers.

For some time I have described my style as hybrid but upon retrospection it would seem progressive would be a more accurate label.

A typical day of progressive vaping may look something like this:
  • Awakening to ~9:30 - Short draw into the mouth and exhale with little to no vapor reaching the lungs.
  • ~9:30 - ~1:00 - MTL with longer draw time.
  • ~1:00 - ~4:30 - Hybrid in which you first fill the mouth but continue to draw for a second or so while releasing the mouthful of vapor.
  • ~4:30 - ~8:00 - STL with same or longer draw time without the mouth fill.
  • ~8:00 - Bed - Deep lung - Still STL with extended draw time and probably a wide open atty.

Anyone else run the gambit or wildly differ their technique throughout the day?

To some extent. My morning routine is mouth to nose vaping with some inhales. Usually while desperately searching for a caffeine fix.

I tend to go more mouth to nose, fewer full inhales, as the day goes on.

I figure if it keeps somebody off the stinkies, they can stick the vaporizer in their nose for all I care. :)

I don't really think much about it, but I do progress from MTL to lung hits over the day.

Lung hits in the morning kill my throat so I start in the morning with a Kanger Subox with a Nautilus tank @ 10w. I do this throughout the day as I can vape all day and go thru only 2-3ml of juice.

After work I usually crank the Subox up to 30w and the Snow Wolf up to 30-40w and pull out a 0.5ohm Subtank and 0.2-0.5 Super Tank. I subohm both mods almost exclusively until bed unless I am trying out new flavours in cheap Aspire CE5 tanks @ 8w.

I was always a mouth to lung vaper for almost 3 years. Cartotanks and then a Kayfun RBA.

My main setup is now a mechanical mod with a rebuildable dripper. I like being able to change flavors on a whim, and a dripper allows for this. This setup is best for direct lung inhales, and I find that my style is changing to a direct lung inhaler.

I never thought that I would like sub-ohm vaping, but my current build is 0.6 ohm dual coils.
